Guest Human Fly Report post Posted September 30, 2002 I've seen the post about how bad the Vikings and Jets suck. It can always be worse though. My team is the Cincinnati Bengals. The worst team in pro sports. The Jets have already won one game, and the Vikings will win one sooner or later. It's questionable if the Bengals will. At least we play the Ravens twice and the Texans. Those are our best shots. To anybody who cares, go to www.petitiononline.com and sign the petition to to get rid of Mike Brown. I know it won't do anything, but (at last check) it had 5,309 signatues on it. Let's see how big it can get. Mike Brown Sucks!
Guest razazteca Report post Posted October 1, 2002 is Brown the GM or Owner or both? what if Cory Dillion got injuried? would there be a city wide riot. I bet the local talk radio sport shows are starting to mock the Bungles.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted October 1, 2002 Maybe ou can answer a Bengals question I've been curious about. The Bengals and the Bills were the 2 teams that showed interest in Bledsoe. The Bengals obviously didn't get him...so what in the world did they spend the money on they would have paid him?
Guest Human Fly Report post Posted October 1, 2002 The Bengals obviously didn't get him...so what in the world did they spend the money on they would have paid him? They resigned one of their linebackers (Brian Simmons) to a long term deal. Signed Gus Frerrotte to a 1 year deal (there's a good consolation for Drew Bledsoe). Signed Michael Westbrook (but cut Darnay Scott and are paying Westbrook a lot less). And that's it. They might have made some minor deals that I don't recall at the time but they just sat on whatever was left. is Brown the GM or Owner or both? Both. That's what makes him so bad. Add to the fact that the Bengals have the smallest scouting staff in the NFL and the head of said staff was hired directly from a high school and that's why our drafts are always so poor. I bet the local talk radio sport shows are starting to mock the Bungles. It's past mocking. Everyone is pissed off. If you can stomach it listen to part of the Bengals game over the 'net. The announcers are so sarcastic and jaded it's hilarious. Here's an example from yesterdays game: "The Bengals now have a total of 2 catches and 9 yards from the Tight End position. Someone call NFL films."
Guest razazteca Report post Posted October 1, 2002 I think they gave Gus Furotte a signing bonus?
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted October 1, 2002 I don't know...They have so many good parts on paper, I can't understand how they aren't in more games. When I look at the Bengals I think they should be just one player away. A QB who could just not make mistakes would be huge for them. They should have gone after Dilfer when he was a FA before last year. He isn't flashy...but he doesn't lose games.
Guest Human Fly Report post Posted October 1, 2002 I think they gave Gus Furotte a signing bonus? I'm not sure. I'm pretty sure they did. I do remember that when they announced the deal it wasn't bad at all (especially for Gus). Thankfully it's only for one year. I don't know...They have so many good parts on paper, I can't understand how they aren't in more games. When I look at the Bengals I think they should be just one player away. The coaching staff has got to go. The last coach we really hired was Dave Shula. When he left we just promoted Coslette. And when he left we just promoted Lebeau. We need to fire the whole staff with the lone possible exception being the Defensive Coordinator. They should have gone after Dilfer when he was a FA before last year They tried to. I can't remember if he signed with Seattle right before his visit, or right after though. They almost signed Elvis Grbac that year as well (this year too for that matter). The Bungles have made it to 2 super bowls, while the Clippers franchise has always sucked, even when they were in Buffalo and wherever else they were. The Bengals obviously didn't get him...so what in the world did they spend the money on they would have paid him? I think they re-signed Dillon, but that may have been last year. Guest Kingpk Report post Posted October 1, 2002 I think they re-signed Dillon, but that may have been last year. I'm fairly certain that was last year. Why he decided to stay with them is a mystery. Maybe it's the uniform. The fabric must have some sort of talent-sucking device embedded in it.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted October 1, 2002 I believe local Cincinnati radio has already been mocking the Bengals for years now. Well the main problem with Bengals getting Bledsoe is that Bedsoe refused to even talk to them I think. The coaches aren't really their big problem. I mean you can only coach the QB so much until he's got to play well on his own. The cheap ass owner is a bigger problem than the coach. For some reason they just can't get any decent play from any qb since they got half of a good season from Jeff Blake like 4 years ago. I don't think any qb can win in Cincinnati anymore. I doubt that Joe Montana in his prime could even get them above .500. I don't think anyone will ever figure out why Cincinnti can't win even with a solid team. I'd like to know how every major Ohio football team has been cursed. I'd like to know who cursed the Browns, Buckeyes and Bengals so that i can work on breaking the curses. Whoever cursed the Bengals must've been really pissed off because not only do they have bad luck, but they never even show hope of winning.

As bad as the Clips have, and always will, be, I can't help but put the AZ. Cards at the top of my list. That franchise is so pathetic. Bidwell needs to give that team to someone who cares... Guest Choken One Report post Posted October 2, 2002 Cincy is a joke in Cincy. We hardly even cover the team anymore on the newspapers. It's kind of like Boston with the dispair but we never have the hope...every year it seems "That" has finally arrived. I really think we fumbled it away when we dealt Blake out of the starting rotation. Mike Brown is the only 100% hated man in Cincy...even Junior can't stand him. Cincy has decided to "Fuck" the bengals and live off Bob Huggins and the bearcats and smile in the medioricty of the Reds.
