Guest nikowwf Report post Posted October 1, 2002 Raw is SO backwards right now in terms of elevation. Lets look at todays show. ELEVATED Kane - Beat Jericho and is going to main event. Only problem is this has been tried unsuccesfully 1,000 times Jamal & Rosie - Beat up Booker T in his home town Victoria - Seems to have a small bit of personality at least. Bob Orton - Getting the big babyface push, but he's so vanilla this could blow up. TREADING WATER HHH - No, I'm not nuts and this was NOT their intention but HHH is now reduced to semi main event against a mid-card (at best) talent. UN-AMERICANS - Feuding between themselves is going to accomplish what exactly? Hurricane - Sidekick to Kane. Ooh, Ahh PUSHED DOWN RVD - goes from feuding with main eventer to feuding with his manager who is an old man Booker T - gets squashed in his hometown Goldust - party to Booker squashing Bubba - Talks about his first title match, then gets beaten clean in about 7 minutes. As I look at it, the 2 guys who can be pushed to the main event IMMEDIATELY (Booker T & RVD) are getting pushed down, while Fat Samoans and a Rookie Babyface (more than a year away at least) get pushes. And THE CAREER ASSASIN is not as smart as he thinks he is as every thing he tries pushes everyone including himself down. I hate Raw. Niko
Guest The Electrifyer Report post Posted October 1, 2002 RVD - goes from feuding with main eventer to feuding with his manager who is an old man He's not even feuding with Flair. There was no evidence of that at all last night, he was just in a match to progress the Un-American's breakup angle.
Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted October 1, 2002 I'd put the UnAmericans under DePushed. I know a lot of people have a problem with this recycled angle, but at least it drew Heel Heat. Vince has heat with these guys backstage so instead of thinking what "draws" and what is over he puts his ego in there and kills off some of the most over heels he has. Guest nikowwf Report post Posted October 1, 2002 Flair begged Bischoff not to give him a match this week with RVD. Its coming soon, maybe at the PPV? Niko
Guest Brian Report post Posted October 1, 2002 Well, I for one thought that the UnAmericans needed to break up. They need singles workers who are decent on the RAW roster.
Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted October 1, 2002 Also, what was the sence of making a Big Show/Jeff Hardy match again? Rico attacked Jeff earlier in the show. Wouldn't it have made sence to make THAT a match. It would have been more interesting anyway.
Guest notJames Report post Posted October 1, 2002 Bob Orton - Getting the big babyface push, but he's so vanilla this could blow up. I'm gonna assume you mean Randy... Anyway, I think they're telegraphing a slow heel turn, kinda like how they did when Angle first came in. Lauding him with undue praise, cramming him down everyone's throats. And lately I've noticed he's been playing a little too much to the crowd, with the hand slapping and acting overly excited about mediocre victories. Will he turn out better as a heel? Who knows? But more importantly, who cares? I pretty much agree with the rest of your assessments... especially the last one: I hate Raw.
