What is the Point in Eliminating every title but the World,Tag, and Womens? Do you just not respect the History of your Belts? THe Intercontinental Title has 20 plus years of Great history, and you are just deleting it on a Whim just to make HHH Look good? Why so intiminated in someone else being Champion? I believe this to be a irreversible Mistake in giving up the IC belt. Hardcore, and European title deletions are bad enough, but the Intercontinental Championship has so much history, with so many Great Legendary wrestlers holding it. Lets look at it from another angle. You are telling your Roster, that Unless you are Main Event Status, then you will NEVER Hold a Championship belt. European, Hardcore, IC belts. these are not just symbols of Dominance, they are tools to elevate wrestlers. To have them Stand out in the minds of the wrestling fans. And Now you SWIPE away all midcard belts leaving No one to be elevated other than the World champion, whom is all probability will be HHH. We Internet fans, those Reviled hateful, horrible people who complain and always tries to call you on Past storylines, expanding Movesets, and suggesting ways AS fans and not wrestlers, to improve the Product WE as Fans Loved for YEARS. We Implore you, at No Mercy, in the Kane HHH match, make it a DQ ending, or a Countout ending, or a No Contest. Let the belts remain separate. Let the midcarders have something to shoot for. Because even the fans in the stands, those you care about knows, that alot of the talent you have, and they are Great talent, you Just won't give them the World title shot. That's not to say that I want the IC and World titles unified, but I'd rather see a pay off to the angle than some sorry cop-out DQ.

I don't, I mean I'm still "shocked" that they'd even consider removing the only belt today that actually has somewhat legitimate history (although they're starting to mention WCW title reigns when talking about the "World Championship" again so who knows?), but come on... it only took 6 months for the big gold belt to make a comeback, and the turnaround on the IC belt will probably be even faster. I wouldn't be surprised if Stephanie finds a way to "steal it" for Smackdown.

However I believe the I.C title wont be totally erased. Like someone else said before, it's all part of the "turn RAW into Nitro" storyline that I'm sure is under way. My guess is that the I.C title will find its way onto Smackdown very soon as that show could use one more belt.

That would open the door to the U.S title on Nitro

Why would they want to keep around a midcard title when they barely have any challengers to fight for the world title or a midcard in general? So Spike Dudley can say he was an Intercontinental Champion? So Chris Jericho can now be a 5 time IC champion instead of a 4 time IC champion (or however many times he has won it)?
