Guest Anglesault Report post Posted October 1, 2002 JESUS FUCKING CHRIST! They plan on airing Taker/Brock and HHH/Kane on the same god damned show? Are they out of their fucking minds? Taker/Brock will very easily be a dud, and if not for the hope of some movement, Kane/HHH is too. I still don't know why Kane gets the title shot. Obviously that "red hot" RVD/Flair feud THAT WASN'T even mentioned last night couldn't be ended so HHH could put Rob over, but we get THIS Monstrosity? Why Not have Jericho lose to Booker and have Book/HHH? This show is going to suck SOOOO bad, and it's because of the main eventers. So I hope after it gets a lousy buyrate, all four of them get severly punished.
Guest godthedog Report post Posted October 1, 2002 don't care, don't care and don't care. i'm ordering it for chris benoit, kurt angle & eddie guerrero.
Guest Brian Report post Posted October 1, 2002 Taker/Brock, if Taker decides to be game, could be a decent match. Otherwise, it will suck like last match.

Guest nikowwf Report post Posted October 1, 2002 I'll get it cause it rounds out a day of football nicely, and with enough people making fun of them any match can be entertaining. Oh, and cause Angle and Benoit will tear the world up, and Eddy will be fighting so at least something will be good. Niko
Guest BifEverchad Report post Posted October 1, 2002 Well considering I've NEVER missed a WWF/E PPV, I don't say I'll miss this one either. I'll be the first to admit, the booking lately is the shits and the cards they pump out may never be up to full potential, but I am a life long fan and that wont stop me from watching any of their shows. Any pathetic attempts at boycotting WWE and their shows are stupid, and are empty threats from people who will watch the product regardless. Now come Sunday October 20, I know for a fact I will be watching No Mercy with my friends, have a few laughs, a bite to eat and whatever else we usually do. With Brock and the 'Taker for the Undisputed Title, it seems the Main Event wont rock the house. JR and the King will piss most of us off for at least half the show. Although we will have Angle bust his ass against whomever. There could be the usual great performances from Guerrero, Edge and Rey? The HHH/Kane match might not be as good as a Jericho/RVD match up, but for whatever reason, I will watch. Its a habit, its in my blood, sue me.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted October 1, 2002 Taker/Brock, if Taker decides to be game, could be a decent match. Otherwise, it will suck like last match. Oh, for Christ sakes. If Kurt Angle couldn't get a good match out of Undertaker, how will Brock, who's had one decent match with Rock? Oh, and cause Angle and Benoit will tear the world up, and Eddy will be fighting so at least something will be good. i'm ordering it for chris benoit, kurt angle & eddie guerrero You know, that's why they're not being pushed. Vince plans on airing lousy Brock and HHH Main events every month, and he knows no one wants to see them, so he uses Eddy Chris and Kurt as a way to not totally turn people off the show, without pushing the guys, because, you know, they're small and stuff. Guest bob_barron Report post Posted October 1, 2002 I have the same sentinment as Bif. Usually I watch it with some friends and it's just a fun way to spend three hours. I mean that's why I didn't hate KOTR

By the end of the night, our crew pretty much resorts to talking over and laughing at the main events.
cawthon777 0 Report post Posted October 1, 2002 Kane gets the title shot? Rob Van Dam, the most over guy in either brand, gets all this heat behind him before going after Triple H ... then Flair turns and costs him the match ... and now all the heat is gone, RVD's working tag matches on Raw that don't mean crap, and Kane is the new top contender? I would consider watching if they kept the rivalry going but no, they have to stop RVD's title push right as it's starting and throw Kane in there instead. Blah, didn't the WWE learn from their crappy chain match a year and a half ago? The only guy I've seen that can have a GREAT match with Kane is Kurt Angle. Guest Brian Report post Posted October 1, 2002 The first few minutes were decent until Undertaker sandbagged and all hell broke loose. It could have been a fine match if Undertaker didn't refuse to cooperate, than fucked up the booking.
Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted October 1, 2002 I'd watch it....but the problem is I can't because of fincial problems. But I'd watch Kane get a World title shot since 2000.

It could have been a fine match if Undertaker didn't refuse to cooperate, than fucked up the booking. I missed most of the first few super exciting minutes when I fell asleep EIGHTEEN TIMES. Face it, Brock has yet to have a good match with anyone NOT famous for having good matches with just about everyone. It's about time to pull the plug. Guest nikowwf Report post Posted October 1, 2002 I wish Kurt Angle DIDNT have a great match with Kane because then maybe the WWE wouldnt make us watch it again and again and again until we die. If there is never another Kane / Kurt Angle match that is ok with me. Niko

Guest Brian Report post Posted October 1, 2002 I didn't say it was super-exciting, but they weren't building the match around that. Brock worked the ribs, worked a few takedowns and had a little match going, than all of a sudden Taker decides to bend his kness and not go with Brock, and subsequently no-sells all the work Brock tried to put on the back. Yes, because there have been so many good matches where too plodding guys work a back, and YOU KNOW The BEARHUG OF RESTING COMFORT~! was coming to ass another *** stars

I haven't ordered a PPV since Wrestlemania, and I used to buy everything. I hope it doesn't end up like WCW. I boycotted it after Hogan beat Savage for the WCW Title the day after BATB 1999, and I never did watch it again other than the odd show once every 6 months when I was extremely bored. I never did buy anything from WCW again. If I say I'm not going to watch a show. I damn well am not going to watch it.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted October 1, 2002 Not watching unless a hot undercard is announced. Hopefully people walk out as the double main events are starting.
Guest Brian Report post Posted October 1, 2002 *** is a good match. ** is decent, and Brock/Taker would have been around **1/2 without the finish, ref bumps, bad selling, and snadbagging; all of which has been attributed to Taker. It was going to be a better than decent match, which isn't a big deal or worth arguing about. But Brock was doing a carry job supplying the flow and the story of what would have been a better than decent match out of Taker.
Guest Kibagami Report post Posted October 1, 2002 I definitely won't be watching it. I'll just snag any good undercard matches off DC or Hotline the week after...but I'm not paying $29.95 and supporting the awesome force of suckititude that will be Brock/SuperUnderSeller, Part II. Add The usual Brock punching and laying down, and Taker's doing nothing, and we would have the full monty. Of course, I'm measuring it up against the last match before that, but, hey, they want to make it the main event, it should be match of the night.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Report post Posted October 1, 2002 This pay per view will still get plenty of....uh....views, because people are going to want to see the Angle-Benoit, Edge-Eddy rematches, especially after thursday's Smackdown. HHH and Undertaker will more than likely take credit for it, but what do you do? I'm hoping people leave before the two main events. That would be genius. Guest Brian Report post Posted October 1, 2002 Eddie and Edge had a blow-off to their feud last Thursday. Face won a no holds barred match with a clean, climatic finisher. Well, if you actually payed any attention to what Brock did rather than just dismiss the body of his work because he was pushed when he doesn't deserve it, is just ignorant. Guest Kamui Report post Posted October 1, 2002 Eh, I don't mind HHH's matches that much since I'm techinically an HHH-mark, but he's starting to wear thin even on me. I liked HHH/RVD quite a lot and was hoping for a re-match at No Mercy, but instead we get HHH/Kane which should be a bore. I'm a lot more pissed, however, about Taker/Brock Part II. Anglesault, I agree with you 100%- that match just plain sucked, and giving them a re-match a month later is bullshit. Oh well, I order all the PPVs and will order this one as well, just to see Angle, Benoit, RVD, Guerreo, etc., but the WWE had better give me RVD-HHH when I'm at MSG for Survivor Series, otherwise I'll be majorly pissed. -Duo
Guest Human Fly Report post Posted October 1, 2002 I'm going to take another pass on this one. I used to get every ppv every month, but it's just not worth it too me right now. I can get instant results on-line, and if one match is really good I can download it instead of paying 35 bucks. Or I can buy the DVD if I missed a really good event. Even if I have a few people over and I only pay 10 bucks (+ whatever food) it's still not worth it.
Guest cabbageboy Report post Posted October 1, 2002 I am refusing to watch this PPV. Well maybe not WATCH it, but I am not paying for it or anything. If it's on at a sports bar I might go and see it but there's no way I'm paying money to see this bullshit. I think they pretty much HAVE to do RVD/HHH at S. Series. I simply cannot think of any other possible match provided Kane jobs at NM.
Guest Austin420 Report post Posted October 1, 2002 HELL YEAH! I am gonna watch it. Kane gets a shot at the belt. But I won't be paying for it. Just sitting at HOOTERS watching TnA and the WWE and getting so piss ass drunk I won't be able to remember what happened until I watch RAW on Monday!
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted October 1, 2002 Don't order the ppv!! Boycotting TV shows is a futile attempt cause we don't all have Nielsen Boxes, but All of us can effect the PPV buy rate. If we all feel as strongly about the WWE as we say we do then the best thing for us to do is NOT buy the PPV. We can see Angle, Benoit, Edge, and Eddy on Smackdown. I'll be watching on scramblevision as always so that the WWE won't get a penny from me.
