I hope the actual belts for the Smackdown tag titles look good, I really do (especially since the IC belt is going... sniff). I'm also hoping for a Angle/Benoit vs. Los Guerreros final. I'm tempted in taking the AS route and say that it's a waste having four great workers fight each other, but really, is there anything else better for them to do? Not really. Oh, and MATT PINS TAKER. Benoit/Angle vs Edge/Rey as the finals to the tag tournament then ? After the events of last week, and the rumblings about the Smackdown tag belts, I thought we'd see Benoit/Angle vs Edge/Eddie. Guest Goodear Report post Posted October 2, 2002 I don't like Eddie/Chavo and D'Von/Faarooq both going over today since we're then pretty much assured that either Angle/Benoit goes out in the first round (bleh) or we'll have a another heel/heel matchup (double bleh). It would have been much better to advance Billy and Chuck since they've had consistanty good matches for like 3 strait months in a row now. Honestly, D'Von and Faarooq are midcarders now and shouldn't be going over B&C before they've had a chance to work together for a bit. My brackets would have been... Eddie/Chavo Rikishi/Henry --- Eddie/Chavo Billy & Chuck D'Von & Faarooq --- Billy & Chuck Edge & Rey Noble & Tajiri --- Edge & Rey Angle & Benoit Holly & Cena --- Angle & Benoit Second round sees The Guerreros and Edge and Rey going to the finals and The Guerrero's taking the final... The guy has jobbed to Edge and looked like a bitch six ways from Sunday. And Benoit beat his ass recently as well. I'm sorry but a guy maining WM should be unstoppable, or at least over in some ungodly way (Rocky). Angle is neither right now. "HIAC should not be used in feuds that have lasted for two months by the time the match happens." That's a funny quote, it really is. The original UT/Shawn match was a feud that spanned from August to October 1997, so that is in fact two montsh. I don't recall any particular issue UT and Mankind had leading into the 1998 HIAC, but since they had so many matches in the past we'll allow this one to be the blowoff of a 3 year on and off feud. UT/Bossman had no real issue at all going in that I care to remember. Cactus/HHH HIAC was a blowoff of a two month feud as well...started in January and ended in Feb. Oh, and does Kennel in a Cell match count? Bossman's got two stinkers for Brock/Taker to try and beat. Don't worry, I'm sure Taker will do his damnedest to make this match bad.
