WWF Smackdown 2-28-02 Booking

I'm gonna try and clean up Wrestlemania a bit, maybe get a little closure on how the card should shape up.  I'm not gonna be one of those guys that goes out and books Benoit/Storm for 45 minutes.  I'm gonna be realistic, while at the same time, adding in my two cents on what should be happening.  Responses would be appreciated.

-Opening Match- Booker T. vs Christian

DDP accompanies Christian to the ring. Booker dominates on offense until DDP interferes and distracts Booker.  Christian hits the Impaler but only gets two.  He throws a tantrum, and distracts the ref, so DDP rolls in the ring and gives Booker the Diamond Cutter.  Christian covers Booker for the three count at 3:42.

 

-The nWo arrives at the arena with a stretch limo.

 

-Coach int. Kurt Angle who challenges RVD for a one on one contest tonight.  He is gonna show the world how dangerous he is and says Kane was just a warmup on his reign of terror.

 

-Booker finds DDP in the locker room and beats him down.  

 

-Edge vs William Regal - IC Title Match - Mr. Perfect sits in on commentary.  Edge slaps on the figure four but Regal gets to the ropes.  Edge doesn't break and the ref pulls him off. He gets poked in the eye, and Perfect gets into the ring with a pair of brass knucks and knocks out Edge.  Regal covers for the three to retain at 4:30.

 

-We come back from break to find that Booker has challenged DDP to a match at WrestleMania for the European Title.

 

-Recap of Scott Hall attacking Steve Austin with the cinder block is shown.  Austin is not here tonight.

 

-The nWo comes out to the ring.  Hall goes over Austin's mugging on Monday and says two guys are down already.  Who's next?  Hogan talks about at WrestleMania, how he is gonna teach the Rock a lesson.  Nash talks about how he doesn't even have an opponent yet for WM.  He says the boys in the back better watch out because he'll have one by Monday night.

 

-Big Show vs Lance Storm - Storm tries to slam Show, but can't do it.  Show tosses him around and makes Storm his bitch.   Storm goes for a cross body block off the top rope after a low blow, but Show catches him, then chokeslams him to hell for the pin at 1:33.

 

-Show gets on the mic and says he wants an opponent for WrestleMania.  Two years ago, he's headlining it, last year he had a title match and this year, nothing.  Wants someone to step up and accept his open challenge.  He says someone has till Monday night, or else bad things are going to happen.

 

-We come back to find that Edge challenged Mr. Perfect to a match at WrestleMania.

 

-HHH comes out.  He can't wait to get his hands on Jericho, he wants him tonight.  Jericho comes out and insults HHH and Stephanie says that from now until WrestleMania, HHH can't touch Jericho, unless they are in a match.  And tonight might be the last time they fight before WM.  Jericho has found himself a tag partner in the Undertaker.  They challenge HHH to find one.  HHH says no problem, its on tonight.

 

-Flair is in the back.  AA tells Flair to be the partner of HHH tonight, but Flair won't do it.  Taker walks in and sees the two of them.  He says to Flair he'll give him one more opportunity, and then bad things are going to start happening.  Flair says Taker will be suspended if he does anything else.  Taker says we'll see.

 

-Kurt Angle vs RVD- Angle takes it after Regal comes out and knocks RVD out with the belt.  Angle locks on the Angle Slam and gets the pin at 6:03.  

 

-HHH is in the back looking for a partner.

 

-Recap of Billy and Chuck attacking the APA in the bar.

 

-Billy and Chuck vs Scotty Too Hotty and Albert- Tag Titles- Billy pins Scotty at 2:51 after a fameasser.

 

-The APA come out and destroy the tag champs.  Bradshaw powerbombs Billy through the announce table and Farrooq gives Chuck the Dominator.  Scotty then does the Worm, and the APA, Scotty and Albert dance.

 

-Kane is walking in the back.  He runs into HHH.  HHH says he needs to talk to him.

 

-Jazz vs Jacqueline- Women's Championship Match - Jazz dominates Jackie throughout the contest.  Jackie hits a springboard DDT, but that is the most of her offense.  Jazz hits the Jazz stinger for the pin at 3:12.

 

-Paramedics help Jackie out of the ring.

 

-Undertaker and Chris Jericho vs HHH and Kane - UT and Kane brawl like crazy through the crowd.  They battle to the back where Kurt Angle is waiting for Kane with a wrench.  He nails Kane in the head and puts on the anklelock.  Taker disappers back to the ring.  Taker comes in and nails HHH from behind as he is about to pedigree Jericho.  He hits the Last Ride and Jericho goes for the lionsault for the pin at 8:44. Taker and Jericho stand victorious in the ring.

 

There you have it.  Not a bad show this week, sets up WM nicely, adds a few matches. Lemme know if you want me to do Raw, and every other show leading up to WM.  Feedback is heavily appreciated.

On Raw, remember? The segment with DDP, Christian, and Arn where DDP convinces Christian not to quit, then takes him out of the room for one of his little counseling sessions?
