Guest Shadow Report post Posted February 28, 2002 (Note: Yes, I'm keeping the "is War" part of the title. Fuck political correctness, "Raw is War" sounds better than "Raw", so it stays. I'm going to write my shows in SmarK-style recaps, 'cause that's faster and lets me get to the actual fantasy booking. Except for certain interviews, which I will write out, like the one below, and the endings of certain matches.) Raw is War opens with the Triple H "My Sacrifice" video, to hype up his return for later tonight. After the Raw is War opening video, we cut to an electric Madison Square Garden, where the fireworks go off and J.R. and The King welcome us to Raw. "IF YOU SMELL....WHAT THE ROCK......IS COOKING!" The Rock immeaditley makes his way down the rampway to a huge ovation of cheers from the fans. He enters the ring, poses, and then grabs a microphone. "FINALLY......THE ROCK....HAS COME BACK....TO MADISON SQUARE GARDEN!" The people once again erupt with cheers for their People's Champion. "Now, The Rock says he wants to take you back, he wants to TAKE YOU BACK, to one of the most pathetic moments in the history of proffesional wrestling. The Rock wants to take you back.....to Vengance. You see, on that night, The Rock was screwed out of his shot at becoming the first-ever UNDISPUTED World Champion, and instead those honors went to......Chris Jericho." The fans boo and jeer at the mention of the Undisputed World Champion. "The Rock says that tonight, he will get his revenge....because The Rock is challenging Chris Jericho's CANDY-ASS to a match for the Undisputed World Championship! So Chris, what do you say?" The fans cheer, and await his response. However, the sound of glass breaking fills the arena as once again the fans erupt with cheers. That means it isn't Y2J coming out, it's 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin! Austin makes his way down the rampway and grabs the microphone out of the hand of The Rock. (And by the way, I'm completley ignoring the whole "What' thing. It's fantasy booking and in my fantasy the annoying-as-fucking-hell "Whats" don't exist.) "Rock, you say you want a title shot?" Austin says. "Well, get in line, because Stone Cold Steve Austin was screwed just like you were at Vengance, and ol' Stone Cold wants a shot tonight too, ya got that People's CHAMP?" "The Rock says you can shut your mouth and start knowing your role, because if anyone is getting a shot tonight, it is going to be the People's....CHAMPION!" "WHOO!" The fans explode in cheers as Ric Flair's music begins to play as he comes out onto the top of the stage. "WHOO! Now, did I hear that the two of you, WHOO, want a title shot, here, tonight, in Madison....Square......GARDEN! Well you two can both get your title shot- because tonight, I'm booking a TRIPLE THREAT MATCH for the Undisputed World Championship, WHOO!" King points out that the Undisputed World Champion, Chris Jericho, isn't even here yet, and he's going to be very pissed off when he finds out what Ric Flair has just done! "The Rock says, that's fine by him, because The Rock is going to kick some candy-ass here tonight and become the UNDISPUTED.....WORLD.....CHAMPION.....IF YOU SMELLLL....WHAT THE ROCK......" Austin grabs the microphone out of The Rock's hand! "AH-AH! Rocky, it's not gonna go down like that here tonight, because the Rattlesnake is going to win the Undisputed Title here tonight, and that's the bottom line, 'cause Stone Cold says....." The Rock grabs the microphone out of Austin's hand, then goes for the Rock Bottom, but Austin elbows out of it! Austin kicks Rock in the chest for a Stunner, but Rock pushes Austin into the ring ropes! Austin slides out of the ring, then points to Rock from the outside, as Rock's music plays. Rock poses on the top turnbuckle as Raw heads to commerical break. When Raw comes back on, a promo airs showcasing 'The Fallen Angel' Christopher Daniels. Daniels says he's going to arrive in the WWF soon, and it will be hell on Earth when he does. No Superstar shall be safe from The Fallen Angel.... We head backstage, where Ric Flair is in his office, talking to Arn Anderson. Booker T and Test enter the room. Booker T and Test demand a Tag Team Titles shot against the Dudley Boyz here tonight, but Ric says that isn't possiable because the returning Hardys already have a shot. They look surprised, since the Hardys were just fighting each other at Vengenace, but then leave in an angry huff. Opening Match: WWF Tag Team Titles Dudley Boyz (c.) vs. Hardy Boyz Lita accompnays the Hardys to ringside and kisses Matt, so it seems everything is happy again in Hardy-ville. Ending comes when Jeff nails Buh Buh Ray with a Swanton Bomb after a Matt Twist of Fate, but Test & Booker do a run-in, attacking both Hardys and giving them the DQ victory at 2:55, which of course means the Dudleys retain. Good match with a bad finish. (**1/2) After a commerical break, we head backstage again, where Chris Jericho is just arriving via limo. Once he gets out, however, he's told by an offical that he has to defend his Undisputed World Title against The Rock and 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin in a Triple Threat Match here tonight. Jericho immeaditley pouts and decides to go call Vince for advice. Winner Gets an Intercontiental Title Shot on Smackdown Rob Van Dam vs. William Regal Definitley a major style clash here. Finish comes after Regal nails RVD with the Brass Knuckles, but the referee is out during the pin. Edge runs in, however, and nails Regal in the head with a chair, allowing RVD to get the Five Star Frog Splash as Edge leaves the ring, and covers Regal for the win at 3:25. So it will be RVD vs. Edge for the Intercontiental Title on Smackdown, which should be a much better match than this one was. (*1/2) After a commerical break, Kurt Angle comes down to the ring for an interview. Angle complains that he was screwed at Vengance too, then demands to be placed into the Undisputed Title Match here tonight. Flair interrupts, coming out onto the stage, and tells Angle that's not going to happen, but he will give him a match tonight, and if Angle can win it, he'll get his Undisputed Title shot on Smackdown. Angle asks who it will be up against- Flair says he'll be facing Kane here tonight! Angle pouts as we head backstage. Stephanie McMahon-Hemesley arrives in a limo. Micheal Cole walks up to her and asks her where Triple H is. She says that he'll be arriving later tonight in a seperate limo, and says that he'll be making one hell of an impact when he does. Raw heads to commerical break. Backstage, Jericho is seen talking on his cell phone as Raw comes back on. Jericho complains about having to face Austin and Rock in a Triple Threat Match. A pause. Jericho then says to the person on the other end (presumebly Vince) that he should come to the arena tonight. Another pause. Jericho says that sounds great and he'll see him tonight. Elsewhere backstage, Flair is confronted by The Undertaker. Taker wants a match tonight since he feels he hasn't been "properly respected" since beating RVD for the Hardcore Title at Vengeance. Flair tells Taker he does have a match- it's against the returning DDP, non-title, and it's next. Again backstage, Kane is shown arriving at the arena, only to get jumped by Angle. Angle lays into him with a lead pipe, leaves him laying, then tells him he'll see him later tonight as Raw heads to commerical break. Non-Title Match Undertaker vs. DDP DDP gets a good reacion for his return. He tells Undertaker he needs to think "positivley", before the match starts. An okay match, not that great as Taker doesn't sell a lot. Ending comes when DDP surprises Taker with a Diamond Cutter on a chair Taker had previously brought into the ring, and pins him for the win at 3:45. (1/2*) After a commerical break, The Coach conducts an interview with Austin. He asks him how he feels about Hunter's return. Austin says that he looks foward to kicking Hunter's ass again, then turns his attention to his Triple Threat Match against The Rock and Chris Jericho. A second limo arrives and Vince gets out. Singles Match- If Angle Wins, He Gets an Undisputed Title Shot on Smackdown Kurt Angle vs. Kane Actually a very good match, as Angle uses good psychology, working over the right leg he had previously clipped with the lead pipe earlier on. However, after Angle straps on the Ankle Lock, Kane reaches the ropes, and manages to get the Chokeslam for the win at 4:15. A good match. (***) A third limo arrives and Triple H gets out of it, as the fans go ballistic and Raw heads to commerical break. Undisputed World Title Triple Threat Match Chris Jericho (c.) vs. The Rock vs. 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin Very, very good match. Jericho ended up unconcious on the outside after Rock gave him a Rock Bottom through the announce table, then fought with Austin on the inside. Vince ran out, however, just after Austin gave Rock a Stunner. He Low Blows Austin, then cracks a steel chair over Austin's head. He slides out of the ring as Rock manages to get one arm over Austin just as Jericho gets up on the outside, and gets the pinfall at 5:15. Rock is the new Undisupted World Champion. (***1/2) After the match, Vince enters the ring with the two belts and gives them to The Rock as they engage in a brief staredown. Jericho enters the ring and shoves Vince, asking him why he just helped Rock win the title. Vince doesn't answer as Rock turns Jericho around and gives him another Rock Bottom. Rock's old heel "Do you smell what The Rock is cooking?" theme plays as the fans throw garbage into the ring, and Raw heads backstage. Yet another limo, a fourth one, pulls up into the garage. It's unknown who's in it, but the door opens just as Raw goes to commerical break, before we can see who's in the limo. "TIME TO PLAY THE GAME!" The fans erupt in cheers as Triple H does an extended, near-four-minute entrance. Then, he grabs a microphone, the MSG fans still in conceptions. "In case you forgot just who the hell I am, I....am....THE GAME!" The fans again erupt in cheers so loud, you couldn't hear a pin drop. "And you can BET YOUR ASS I'M BACK! Now, I saw what happened before I came out here, and let me just say it was a load of BULLSHIT! Rock, you're supposed to be the People's Champion, and you let that son of a bitch father-in-law of mine, Vince McMahon, hand you the Undisputed World Title? That just isn't going to cut it, Rock. So what I'm going to do, right here, right now, is make a challenge to you, Rock. I want you, right now, for that Undisputed World Title! So, what do you say?" The fans, again, erupt in cheers. "Do you smell what The Rock is cookin'?" The fans now give a mixed reaction as The Rock, wearing both belts around his waist, makes his way down the rampway, pointing at Hunter. Vince is with him and is trying to convince him to head back, but Rock goes down anyway, and enters the ring. Rock grabs the microphone out of Triple H's hand. "Did The Rock just hear you right, Triple H? You want a shot at the Undisputed World Champion, right after The Rock just went through hell to beat Steve Austin and Chris Jericho to get these belts, and you want your shot now? Well, The Rock says you've got your damn shot, get a referee out here and make it offical!" The crowd again erupts in cheers as Rock drops the microphone. Vince, however, enters the ring and starts arguing with Triple H, forcing him to turn his back to The Rock. Rock nails Hunter with a forearm to the back of the head and a referee comes down. Vince leaves the ring as the bell is rung. Undisputed World Title Match The Rock (c.) vs. Triple H (I'm going to recap all of this match, it's super-short anyway.) Rock turns Hunter around and lays into him with hard right hands, then Irish Whips him into the ring corner. He runs in going for a Clothesline, but Triple H raises his right boot. Triple H then runs in and Clotheslines him. He picks Rock up and Irish Whips him into the ropes, then gives him a knee to the face. He then picks Rock up, kicks him in the chest, and PEDIGREES HIM! Hunter goes for the pin. 1.... 2...... VINCE PULLS THE REFEREE OUT OF THE RING! Triple H points and yells at Vince, until..... HBK'S MUSIC STARTS TO PLAY! Shawn Micheals comes out onto the stage in a suit, posing for the crowd. JR: My god, HBK is here! King: It must have been Shawn in that limo! Shawn Micheals makes his way down the rampway as Triple H has a confused look on his face. The fans are cheering like crazy now. HBK enters the ring and says something to Triple H, then nails him in the face with a concieled lead pipe! The fans are now booing HBK like crazy instead! Hunter slowly gets back to his feet, turns around, and takes a Sweet Chin Music to the face! HBK puts Rock on top of Triple H, then leaves the ring and heads up the rampway, as fans scream at him and throw trash at him. Vince tosses the referee back into the ring and he makes the three count at 1:15 to give Rock the win, and retain the titles. (*1/2) Vince enters the ring with Rock's titles, puts them over each shoulder, and raises his arm in the middle of the ring as they stand over the fallen Triple H, and the fans throw every bit of trash they have left into the ring, as Raw goes off the air.
