Guest Human Fly Posted February 28, 2002 Report Posted February 28, 2002 With all the talk about Warrior coming back and with the recent return of Hogan, Hall, and Nash I was wondering what everyone thought about other "lost causes". Let me know if you think anyone got left off.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted February 28, 2002 Report Posted February 28, 2002 I think Jarrett has the best chance to come back. And he will if the WWA gets a tv deal or starts poping buyrates.
Guest goodhelmet Posted February 28, 2002 Report Posted February 28, 2002 easily JJ but I don't personally care for his ring work. But I will say I'd rather see JJ before Lex Luger ever comes back. I think I speak for the majority when I say that he is one person we don't ever want to come out of retirement.
Guest TheDames7 Posted February 28, 2002 Report Posted February 28, 2002 Its a tossup between Jarrett and Savage for me. Jarrett didn't exactly make friends with Ross after the whole Russo debacle....and thats not even mentioning the incident with the 250,000 dollars. Savage's ego could probably be calmed down some, but the guys asking price for the WWA was 5 million! No one in the WWF makes that kind of money. Savage deserves his last run in the WWF as well as Hogan, and I'm sure Vince could be sold on it. Savage's problems with Hogan and his injuries could be a factor though. Everyone else has no chance, except Bret Hart because its ultimately up to him. The WWF would love to shoot the angle of all angles with him, but he is the one refusing. Dames
Guest Brian Posted February 28, 2002 Report Posted February 28, 2002 Jarrett, probably because he's the most willing and most marketable (as a combination, not seperate).
Guest Tony149 Posted February 28, 2002 Report Posted February 28, 2002 I also go with Jeff Jarrett. The WWF holds a grudge with Jarrett, even though it was JR fault (He's even admitted to it) and J.J. just wanted the money he was owed in advance from PPV's, etc. Which can take up to a year to get. As or Lex Luger, I once read that the WWF had or would like to have talks with him.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted February 28, 2002 Report Posted February 28, 2002 i really hope they bring back JJ i would mark so hard if he nailed austin or rock with the guitar at wrestlemania. SLAPNUTS!
Guest Army Eye Posted February 28, 2002 Report Posted February 28, 2002 To me, I see Savage as the most likely. Obviously he'll have to tone down his contract demands for that to happen. Jarrett, I want him to be back but I don't see it. McMahon singled him out on the Raw after he bought WCW and told him publically that he was FIIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRED. He didn't do that for anybody else, and Jarrett was hardly the biggest name involved in the sale, so I'd say that was a shoot. Maybe if Jarrett was a draw on the level of a Goldberg or Savage, they'd bring him back. Basically the same reason I don't see Shane Douglas getting another chance. I don't think his bridge is COMPLETELY burned, but like Jarrett he doesn't have quite enough to offer to make them change their mind. They'd probably be under-utilized anyway. The roster is already beyond bloated. Maybe with the split, things will change though. Especially if it goes well and they eventually decide to move up to 24 PPVs a year, they'll want more big stars. Jarrett, Douglas, Savage, and even Goldberg would probably be more attractive to the WWF in that case. But Warrior... I know this is Vince "XFL" McMahon we're talking about but I can't see him making that mistake again. Warrior has screwed him over too many times.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Posted February 28, 2002 Report Posted February 28, 2002 Jarrett, defientley. I pray to God Luger never gets in a ring again. What's Shane Douglas doin now? Anyone know?
Guest razazteca Posted February 28, 2002 Report Posted February 28, 2002 I voted for Brett Hart, I don't understand the fanfare about Jarret but right now I think Brett would be perfect for the WWF. Since the Olympics recently ended and the Canadians won the gold medals in Hockey and Ice Skating against the Americans!!! The time is now for Canada to take over wrestling again. If the WWF insist of redoing old storylines from the "successful" eras, then why not redo the Canada vs USA? Or at least have Hart lead Beniot/Jericho/Edge/Christian/Storm to an entertaining angle. Or bring back Shane Douglas (not Dean) to challenge Flair or Hogan for holding him back.
Guest Some Guy Posted February 28, 2002 Report Posted February 28, 2002 Jarrett is probably the most useful of the names listed. He's a good worker, above average promo guy, has good heel charisma, and is known to fans. He could easily slide back into the IC title hunt or maybe the world title picture. Savage is however the most likely to come back IMO. He wants to work and WWF has already brought back Hogan and Flair, so why not another 50 year old? If he came back WWF would really start to look like WCW.
Guest dreamer420 Posted February 28, 2002 Report Posted February 28, 2002 The Ultimate Warrior: Wouldn't happen. Too many chances all ready and is too bad of a worker. Bret Hart: Can't wrestle and appears to be packing some extra pounds on. I know he would never do it anyway. Randy Savage: May have showed his true colors by screwing the WWA around. Bad knees and his age will keep from from the WWF. Shane Douglas: Not even close to the wrestler he used to be. Vince wouldn't have him back anyway. Jeff Jarrett: The most talented of the bunch and possibly has the best chance. Screwed with the WWF upon his exit but it's not like they never do it to anyone. Madusa/Alundra Blayze: Why?
