Guest El Psycho Diablo Report post Posted October 4, 2002 That's the main thing. The "All Austin, all the time" and the "All HHH, all the time" shows weren't that good.
Guest godthedog Report post Posted October 4, 2002 i gotta disagree there. austin's constant air time kept the show entertaining & saved it from total programming hell.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Report post Posted October 4, 2002 *twitch* I'll refrain from commenting. And quietly dissapear with all the other viewers that did after the Austin heel turn.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2002 Austin's heel turn was gold to me. He reinvented himself and improved in the ring some too. He did more wrestling than he used to instead of constant brawling. His skits with Angle were great. It was shaky at first when the whole Two Man Power Trip formed, but once HHH was out of the picture it was great.
Guest chirs3 Report post Posted October 4, 2002 Well, my Smackdown was interrupted by my Cable being a little bitch, so I only got the first five minutes of Angle/Edge. I'm a little ticked at FarooqVon winning, mainly because I have Billy and Chuck in my Stablewars Stable and they didn't win me shit tonight. Rikishi and Mark Henry... lost? Doesn't this go against everything the WWE does... ever? Not that I'm complaining. Rey/Benoit was awesome. This sucks - I'm starting to become a fan of the Smackdown brand, and I don't wanna abandon the last of the Raw supporters...
Guest wwF1587 Report post Posted October 4, 2002 sounds like another AWESOME SmackDown! by the reaction. I am soo glad its back where I live.. I have to wait till Saturday though... its worth it... SCREW RAW...SmackDown! rules all. I tried to defend RAW all I could.. and next week is their last shot to impress me or I am going just pro SD!... I will refuse to watch RAW and just watch SD!. Brock/Taker HIAC... at NO MERCY? Still dont understand that... I agree with Scott Keith... Matt Hardy will interfere and be the one to take the sick bump.. Guest deadbeater Report post Posted October 4, 2002 "After you." "No after you." "Ok"--BAM!!! "All right, no touching."--BOOM!!! Angle learned from Arn Anderson. Why no one on Raw does that?
Guest Lord of The Curry Report post Posted October 4, 2002 Am I the only who was totally psyched on the fact that Benoit was chillin' with Cheat To Win backstage, and that Eddy stood up for his holmes Benoit and told Angle to "chill, vato". If Eddy gets more god-like, I don't know if the planet can handle it.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2002 I thought the whole locker room part was pretty cool. It had an old school feel to it. Plus it's going away from that whole "everyone has their own locker room" thing. But what was Steph doing in a men's locker room?
Guest creativename Report post Posted October 4, 2002 I'm a little ticked at FarooqVon winning, mainly because I have Billy and Chuck in my Stablewars Stable and they didn't win me shit tonight. If I was you I would dump 'em, because it looks like they're getting majorly de-pushed. It appears the rumors of Billy pissing off management are true. Am I the only who was totally psyched on the fact that Benoit was chillin' with Cheat To Win backstage, and that Eddy stood up for his holmes Benoit and told Angle to "chill, vato". No you're not, I marked for that too. Though I wasn't sure which of Los Guerreros (my god, they need to make that the official team name SO badly) said it. Plus it's going away from that whole "everyone has their own locker room" thing. But what was Steph doing in a men's locker room? Seeing Albert without a shirt on made the whole show for me. His silky man fur on top of his lush ass in those tight jeans was just too much for me! And I don't know what Steph was doing in the men's lockerroom. Maybe she was lonely. SD! was red hot last night. I just loved the Benoit/Rey match and the Angle/Edge match.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted October 4, 2002 OK, you could have kept that Albert part to yourself
Guest Bricks Report post Posted October 4, 2002 I [HEART] SMACKDOWN!!! Awesome show. Every match was fine with Edge and Angle being great. And Faarooq used the tag rope for choking!!! Maybe Ron Simmons and D-Von will a new Doom or something.
Guest notJames Report post Posted October 4, 2002 Great Smackdown. Top to bottom... even Mark Henry was made watchable by the Rudo Twin powers chopping down that big, Sexual Chocolate Sequoia with merciless knee-killing delight. Nice foreshadowing of the not-so-universally-anticipated HIAC match. To wit: a) upon hearing that the Brock/UT rematch would have a secret stipulation, Tazz cries out "What the hell could that stipulation be?" (Yeah, it's stretching it a bit, but I swear it raised my eyebrow when I heard him say it.) b) during the UT/Mattitude match, fighting amidst all the metal fencing was a nice touch. And as it's probably been mentioned before by others, I anticipate Matt Hardy will take the Foley bump this time around, considering he's got two (tainted) wins on the Dead Man, and neither of the two big men would dare be put into any kind of risk like that at this point in their careers. Benoit in another main event? I must be in Canadian-expatriate heaven! So what will they call the SD! tag team titles if they have to differentiate them from RAW's? The World Tandem Championship? The Double Trouble Championship? And why is Stephie Mac so adamant about teaming two guys who can't stand each other? That's just so wacky! Now why can't Monday nights be this good? Guest fingers Report post Posted October 4, 2002 smackdown rocked last night I also marked out for the skit int he changing rooms where the gurrerros stuck up for Benoit. Its details like that that just make show. I don't think smackdown put a foot wrong last night, everything was awsome. The ONLY thing that was bad was the gimmicked F5 the taker took. Is that guy really that scared to take a bit of pain to make things lok good. the way the bags just pfffffffft as he landed was pathetic.
Guest nikowwf Report post Posted October 4, 2002 OK, you could have kept that Albert part to yourself She should keep Albert to herself. He could go chill at her house and stop wrestling and it would best for all involved. Niko
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted October 4, 2002 OK, so let's take a look at the tag title situation We've already got Chavo/Eddy and Farooq/D-Von into the next round. Logically, next week we'll have Benoit/Angle into the next round, and most likely Rey/Edge. By my count, that makes 3 heel teams, and 1 face team. Wouldn't it have made more sense to have C&B beat Farooq/D-Von to set up 2 face vs. heel matchups for the next round? Especially since we're more likely to get a good performance out of C&B than F&D-V.

Especially since we're more likely to get a good performance out of C&B than F&D-V. I don't think Can-Am 1 (Benoit/Angle) will move on to the 2nd round. If anything, they'll be beat by Can-Am 2 (Edge/Rey) next week, which will further Benoit/Angle's feud into the PPV whilst Edge/Rey move on in the tourney. In fact, I see a final of Los Guerreros vs. Edge/Rey for the belts at the PPV. If they're serious about making these tag titles meaningful, I can't see a better way than to put it on either of these two teams. Having Angle and Benoit team up is just another stopgap along their long feud. I don't see them teaming past next week.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted October 4, 2002 Then what team will round out the final 4 if Benoit/Angle get eliminated? Tajiri/Knoble is the only other team on SD. Or will they throw Shannon Moore w/ somebody?
