The Torricelli thing is so absurdly amusing. Their miserable candidate was losing, so the DNC gets him to withdraw and puts up someone else in his place. Hello, Earth to Democrats? Democrats, this is Houston. You don't get to do this. Elections don't count only if you win, guys. You can't bet on a moron and then change the rules as soon as he falls behind in the polls. And when you lose you don't get to demand recounts until you win.

Really, the Democratic Party's name is looking more and more ironic every day. "Stalinist" would be a better fit. Zhe Party vill vin no matter vhat, comrades!

My big problem with the dems trying to change the way elections work is that they are screwing over all of the military who have to vote absentee, who already have their ballots in some cases. The dems are just being selfish, whiny, pains in the ass on this issue

The scary thing is I have to vote absentee for Florida, wondering if I should even bother with the way there system seems to be working (or should I say failing )

Heh. Now that's one hell of a double whammy...

Yep, I'm in trouble there, wondering if I can use that as grounds to change my state of legal residency (mental note, call legal in the morning)

What makes me most mad at the Democrats for this Torricelli issue is the blatant disregard for the legality. They just went through with the new Lautenberg nomination without even acknowledging the possible legal and ethical repercussions. I'm at a loss for what goes through the mind of a Democrat. Possibly nothing?

God, this issue is funny. And when (hopefully) this issue is overturned by a fed. court (or the BIG court) all the Dem. "leaders" will bitch about judical activism, and say conservatives HATE it when activism is used in any other case. Of course, much like in Fla., the state court overstepped its bounds.

This ain't baseball, NJ Dems -- you can't bring in a reliever in the ninth inning when your starter is out of gas...

How in the hell is Martha Stewart on the NYSE board of directors. Does she make cookies for everyone.

The Torch really seemed remorseful about everything he did. After all the self-congratulatory praise I wouldn't be shocked if he throw out his shoulder.

NJ's got a crooked Democratic Party, a biased State Supreme Court, a moronic gov't who hired some Anti-Semetic Poet Lauret. No wonder its called the most corrupt state in the union.

I heard fron someone on Fox News {or maybe CNN } that if the senator resigned this week, then the govenor could replace him and that new senator would automatically be on the ballot. So, if that's correct, I don't see why he doesn't step down now.

How would everyone react if a Republican had done the same thing and the Democrats complained? I think it'd be funny to read the rationalizations.

It's bloody dumb no matter who does it. At least invest in some makeup or something for the new guy, FOOL PEOPLE!! Sheesh.

That wouldn't happen. Republicans actually have respect for both the rule of law and the intergrity of the electoral process. Democrats have been showing for two years that they possess neither of those traits.

I know, I'm not trying to go down that tired old, bumpy road again.

The Senate Dem's are shitting bricks right now as it appears that they are already going to lose 2 seats to the Republicans in NJ and MO, and it's too close to call in the other races.

It's times like these that I want to grab my escrima sticks (or a baseball bat, whatever) and just go to work.

You *whack* disrespectful *whack* IDIOTS! *whackwhackwhack*

No, it's not just the Dems I'm referring to. Blatant attempts by anybody that shows total disrespect for... oh, let's say the CONSTITUTION as several organizations on my campus are wont to do...

Richard Nixon in '60. He could of easily asked for a recount in Illinois and West Virginia but he didn't.

I'd probably react by saying, "What is that nimrod thinking. He's making his party look bad."

Good enough?
