Everyone on this forum always talks about how good Christian is why doesn't he get the Time on T.V against quality oppoents can u think of any reson the WWF would have to do this?

Because the writers seemingly don't give a shit about the undercard/midcard wrestlers. Also, Christian(even though I love the guy) has developed a very bland heel moveset with a lot of restholds. I think he needs to pick up the pace a little bit and vary the moveset some because that's been known to work(look at HHH in 2000).

 

Also, he's just being used as a comedy heel at this point. The tantrums and excessive whining may have worked for Jericho in 97, but those a different set of fans as compared to today. He needs to differentiate himself from the rest of midcard since they seem to be flooded with midcard comedy acts(DDP, Hurricane, etc., etc.).

 

Consistant booking and a faster pace of match would go a long ways into making Christian even more of a star, but with so much talent right now, he's probably better off staying where he is for the time being until after the split.

I think they were on the right track with Christian the one-man conchairto but his joining the Alliance killed his character Dead. I was hoping him and Storm would have gone over in the Turmoil until I realized they were the first team. Storm should really stick to single matches. i'm dreaming of an RVD-Storm match which should be miles better than their ecw stuff since they've both improved so much.

the edge experiment can work but the guys last two feuds have been test and regal. he's not a miracle worker. give him storm and/or booker and i believe he will shine!

Kind of sad to look at that list and think of what could've been.. instead the IC title scene has been a total non-issue for almost a year now.  

 

Maybe we've got all the bad stuff (Regal, Test, Edge etc) out of the way, and the best is yet to come.  RVD defending against Booker T, Storm, Christian, etc. is what I'd like to see after Wrestlemania

The thing is, even though Christian is short, Canadian, and funny, he isn't Chris Jericho.  He really isn't that a great wrestler in my estimation.  He's got a whole lot of nothing that makes him standout in an actual ring and his moveset is actually worse than Test's.  No really.

 

Speeking of which, if Test is being pushed more than RVD, than so am I.  Because Test's got no feuds going on, no TV time, and no title shots coming... gee doesn't RVD have all of those right now?

Firstly, the point was that although Christian has some Jericho-like qualities, which would explain why people seem to want to have him pushed.  He's really no where near as good.  He's basically just an undersized brawler with like three actual wrestling moves.

 

Test isn't getting more of a push than RVD... he's not... and to say that he is, is crazy.  One is going for the I-C title at Wrestlemania and the other isn't on the card.  

 

And Test losing a tag match to Tazz and Spike is a push?  So, then The Dudleyz must really be at the top of the card, they lost to the midgets a bunch of times.

Thats what you said... that Test was over RVD... thats wrong.

 

RVD had three more minutes on TV in the last week than Test did, which is to say that Test wasn't on Raw or Smackdown.  So yes, RVD is getting more of a push than Test.  Is RVD getting pushed to the moon?  No.  Is he getting more of a push than Test?  Yep.

I think the best things for Edge and Christian right now would be to reform as a tag team. They could be faces or heels, and it wouldn't have to be long term but it would put some much needed interest back in the tag title scene. But this won't happen as Edge is the big project, even if he hasn't yet developed enough in the ring or got over enough to be a maineventer.

This whole Edge/RVD "who should get pushed?" thing shows the hypocrisy of HHH's comments on the midcard a while ago (yeah, I just HAD to bring HHH into it).  Remember that HHH said that it's not your tenure in the WWF that gets you a push, but how hard you bust ass in the ring and get over.  Let's review:  who has busted ass and gotten wildly over between RVD and Edge?  RVD.  Who has gotten more of a push so far this year?  Edge.  Why?  Because he has been there longer than RVD.

 

Regarding Christian, he is an ok comedy heel, but they already have a goofball blond Canadian named Jericho, so his upward mobility is somewhat limited.  I think what we will see if RVD wins the IC title is Edge turning heel and reuniting with Christian in an attempt to get the IC title back.  

 

By the way I looked at the spoilers and Edge and Booker have a feud now over a shampoo commercial.  Jesus, does every feud have to have a silly joke about it?  Whatever happened to old style Memphis "I'm gonna whoop ya like a yard dog!" hatred?

Well, in the case of the Test/Edge feud over the IC Title, RVD was involved in the Alliance/WWF Survivor Series match, so really that's a bigger push then going for a useless title. And while Test had no feud at all(December to now), RVD was involved with Undertaker and now Regal.

Am I the only person that liked the ChrisTAINgimmick with the operah music?  I thought that gimmick would at least get people thinking of him more as a singles wrestler than just Edge's tag partner.  So I guess their 5 seconds of fame is over then.

 

How is the Positive DDP angle going to work out?  Is it going to be like the Edge/Christian/Kurt angle with the chicken suit or it going to be like Christian joining the Ministry?
