Guest Ping Von Erich Posted October 4, 2002 Report Posted October 4, 2002 RAW - World Heavyweight Title World Tag Team Titles World Women's Title Smackdown! - WWE Heavyweight Title WWE Tag Team Title WWE Cruiserweight Title Ok ok ok . . . WWE did this pretty well, they made the title scene for each show pretty even and are making new tag teams by the day to fill up each shows division. All they need to do now is move Dawn and Torri to RAW and we're all set. I say bring in like secondary titles for mid card guys to feud over . . . like say keeping with the World and WWE themed belts the WWE Intercontinental for SD! and the United States Title for RAW . . . I don't know but this really is kind of necessary in my mind.

That would leave a void in the RAW belts and give Smackdown more belts. So to retaliate Bischoff brings back the US title. And to fill the hole in the HHH match Bischoff gives RVD a rematch! Wow my first fantasy booking! How did I do?

I mean, now both shows have an even amount of titles, with the Women's Title and the Cruiserweight Title being the only ones exclusive to their shows. Both shows have a World Champion, and both shows have Tag Team Champions. I like this, though, it would be better if they weren't getting rid of the Intercontinental Title. Hell, they could have brought back the U.S. Title and used it on Smackdown.

It sucks that the IC title is going, but a lack of title belts will force the writers to work harder giving the superstars reasons to fight - hence feuds with reasons and motivations = better TV.
Guest Rob Edwards Posted October 4, 2002 Report Posted October 4, 2002 Yeah I think a high mid card belt is needed on both shows too, It just gives matches a bit of prestige and if you give a guy a long run with a title defending it each week then you can bulid that guy up pretty easily, see Savage, Benoit etc for that
