Guest Mystery Eskimo Posted February 28, 2002 Report Posted February 28, 2002 Just wondering if anyone knows what these former and current wrestlers are doing now- Ricky Steamboat Shane Douglas Barry Windham Scorpio Super Fly Paul Orndorff (was in powerplant in WCW, did WWF give hims a job?) I expect the answers are retired and chillin or in Indys or Japan.
Guest Luke Argyle Posted February 28, 2002 Report Posted February 28, 2002 Ricky Steamboat - Last seen refing the ECWA Low-Ki vs. American Dragon match on 7/21/01. Awesome match and he was a great ref. Scorpio - Wrestling in Misawa's NOAH in Japan. Not sure about the others.
Guest Army Eye Posted February 28, 2002 Report Posted February 28, 2002 I think Douglas is still sitting out his Time/Warner contract. I'd expect him to turn up in WWA once it runs out.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted February 28, 2002 Report Posted February 28, 2002 Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka still works independents. also he was on Nitro a year or so ago, where he and benoit did dives from the top of the cge on to JJ, total mark out moment
Guest dreamer420 Posted February 28, 2002 Report Posted February 28, 2002 Wasn't Tito Santana on that Nitro as well? Major mark out moment there.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted February 28, 2002 Report Posted February 28, 2002 yep, he was, almost feel out of his tights but he was there
Guest Tony149 Posted February 28, 2002 Report Posted February 28, 2002 Barry Windham - Wrestling in Dusty Rhodes fed. Shane Douglas - Still getting paid by AOL Time Warner. Contract runs out sometime this year. Ricky Steamboat - Owns a gym in NC. Does some guest appearances at indy feds. Scorpio - I assume wrestling in indys & Japan. Jimmy "Super fly" Snuka - I assume retired. I think his son wrestles. Paul Orndorff - Retired. The WWF didn't hire him.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted February 28, 2002 Report Posted February 28, 2002 windham still wrestles? wow i'd thought he'd hung them up, i geuss old wrestlers don't retire they just work for peanuts for a fat redneck.
Guest Tony149 Posted February 28, 2002 Report Posted February 28, 2002 From what I've read. Windham is in pretty good shape.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Posted February 28, 2002 Report Posted February 28, 2002 I liked Windham. I remember marking out when he and Dustin Rhodes won the WCW tag titles back in the early nineties, from Steve Williams and Terry Gordy I think. I wouldn't want to see him in the WWF now really though.
