Guest Your Olympic Hero Report post Posted October 5, 2002 --------Raw (1/3/00)-------- X-Pac pinned Edge in 6:32 after reversing a superplex attempt in midair and holding the tights for the pin. After the match, Kane comes out, but X-Pac has a confident look on his face. Everyone is confused, but then the New Age Outlaws both come from behind and nail Kane with chairs. X-Pac steps on Kane as he walks by him to the locker room with a smirk on his face. The Hardy Boyz beat Bob & Crash Holly in 6:56 when Jeff pinned Crash following a swanton bomb. Crash and Bob argued after the match, and Bob punched him in the nose. The Dudley Boyz beat The Acolytes in 5:15 when D-Von pinned Faarooq following a Dudley Death Drop. A minute earlier, Bubba powerbombed Bradshaw on the concrete floor, putting him out of the match. Faarooq was then left to fend for himself. They try to put the Acolytes through tables after the match, but The Hardy Boyz make the save. Rikishi & Too Cool beat Big Bossman, Prince Albert, & Viscera in 5:11 when Rikishi pinned Bossman with a banzai drop. The crowd loves Rikishi and Too Cool and this was just on here to get the crowd going and give the fan favorites a win. Kurt Angle pinned Al Snow in 7:34 with the Olympic Slam. This match had the best pure wrestling of the night. Angle had the advantage for the most part, but Snow fought back and got a couple of near falls. This frustrated Angle, so he strayed from his mat wrestling techniques and nailed Snow in the face with Head. The Angle Slam followed for the win. The Rock, Chris Jericho & Cactus Jack beat Triple-H & The New Age Outlaws in 14:51 when Cactus pinned Billy Gunn with a double arm DDT. The crowd was hot for this main event. Jericho played face in peril, before tagging Rock and Jack at the same time, starting a pier six brawl. HHH did everything in his power to stay away from Cactus. HHH brawled with Jericho, and Rock with Jesse James on the outside of the ring. Cactus and Billy Gunn were left alone in the ring, and Cactus got the win with the double arm DDT. --------Smackdown (1/6/00)-------- Tag Team Champions The New Age Outlaws beat Too Cool in 8:59 when Gunn pinned Scotty 2 Hotty. The crowd was so hot for this. They wanted Too Cool to go over in the worst way. Scotty is going for the Worm on Gunn, but Jesse James has a tag belt and nails Scotty in the face in the middle of the move. Billy is up, and nails the Famouser on Scotty as he tries to get back up for the win. Rikishi hits the ring to try to plead Too Cool's case, but to no success. The three dance together even after the loss. Kurt Angle pinned Christian in 7:12. This was a very good contest, if only a formality to continue Angle's winning streak. Christian gets a couple of near falls but is finished off by the Angle Slam. Angle gets on the mic and issues an open challenge for the Royal Rumble. The Acolytes beat The Hardy Boyz in 5:56 when Bradshaw pinned Jeff. This match stemmed from the Acolytes claiming they didn't need the Hardys help on Monday. Jeff was about to go for a swanton on Bradshaw, but Bubba Ray Dudley ran down and pushed Jeff off the top rope. Bradshaw nails Jeff with a lariat for the win. The Rock pinned X-Pac in 8:56 with the Rock Bottom. This was a very athletic match all the way through. The New Age Outlaws tried to interfere, but were stopped by Kane. After the match, Rock grabs a chair to make sure the NAO don't try to get in, and Kane hits a HUGE chokeslam on X-Pac World Champion Triple-H pinned Chris Jericho in 15:55 with a pedigree. This was a great match, and the fans were into it as well, hoping that Jericho had a chance of pulling off the upset. He almost did, as Cactus Jack made his way to the ring, distracting HHH. Finally, HHH found a way to put away Y2J, and nailed him in the face with the championship belt. One pedigree later, the match was over. Jack hit the ring and got the better of the tired HHH as the show went off the air. --------Weekend House Shows-------- Edge & Christian beat The Mean Street Posse in 5:09 ... What I've done is vacate the IC, Euro, and Lightweight titles for now. Tournaments will be held in February to crown a new US, TV, and Cruiserweight champion. I only did this because the lineage of the titles had already been ruined by reigns from Chyna, Midian, and Gillberg respectively, and a fresh start for the titles was for the best. Plus I like WCW's names better Any feedback? Anyone want me to keep this up? If so, another week will be posted before the end of the weekend.
