Two Jumbo Tsuruta questions for the experts

1. I know Jumbo got sick in late 1992 or early 1993 with Hepititis (sp), and when he recovered he got stuck in comdedy six man tags. Did he ever get to go back to the AJ ME scene?

 

2. Was Jumbo supposed to take the TC off of Misawa in 1993? It seems werid that he got such a long reign, but never got to have a title match with Jumbo, who he had been feuding with for the past few years.

If Jumbo stayed healthy it's likely Misawa never would have gotten that title reign in '92 to begin with. Jumbo probably would have gotten at least one more run as champ with Misawa and Co. chasing before moving Mitsu up the ladder.

Just found this yesterday after looking for info on Jumbo after watching his 3 volume legend comp. Quebrada Jumbo Tsuruta bio

Well, I can only assume from the bio that the childhood nickname Tsuruta had, "Deka" was in reference to his size, as Deka is usually added to nouns to denote their large size.

 

Sad thing I know this because of the word "Dekapai" meaning "Large Breasts".

 

Maturity abounds, I know.
