Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Messiah's hand signal that pinky thing that Cena's been doing lately? I heard Trent Acid did it on TNA, and Cena and Messiah came from the same area from the country, so I wouldn't be surprised if Cena's giving props to The Messiah.

Michael called Basham a young up and comer! The guy looks like he is 40 and he is going bald in the back. He looked better in the ring this week than last though. He just needs to work the crowd more.

Basham might just have an older look.

 

He pieces a match together pretty well and has some nice moves. You're right he should play the crowd a little more though.

 

He's a heel though. That's a welcome difference from Cena and Orton.

Basham doesn't have "The Look", which frankly to me is becoming just as bland as the superkick or spinebuster.

 

Randy Orton.... John Cena... that Rene Dupre guy we saw on Confidential a couple weeks ago, they all look the same.

That's what I kinda like about Basham now. He's not a pretty boy. They should play off that.

 

If he'd cut his hair short it would look better cause his hair is thin.

OVW officials are said to not feel they have any other potential superstars currently on the roster. The only two guys they feel could make an impact are Doug Basham and Rene Dupre. Basham though is considered too small and not having a good enough look to make it big time. Dupre is only 18 so is a long-term project that needs a lot of work on the mic, but has awesome facial features.

 

I don't get this creaming over boy-band looks the higher-ups are having, which leads to things like Orton and Cena over-pushes. I mean, no one ever said that Austin or Hogan were "pretty".

I don't think they should put the title on him, but in this one match he's looked a lot better than I've seen Cena or Orton look. To me atleast. I just hope he has a bright future.

 

I know that circling graphic in the No Mercy commercial is supposed to be barbed wire, but it looks like little HHH symbols attatched to a line circling around.
