Guest Steve J. Rogers Posted October 6, 2002 Report Posted October 6, 2002 And it proves baseball isn't fixed! 1. Yankees had a vastly overrated year beating weak AL East teams 2. Too many of the local NY and national media were already putting them over hungrier and more talented opponents (Angels and A's) 3. Making moves like the Raul Mondesi and Jeff Weaver trades, as well as signing Rondell White and Jason Giambi is sort of like HHH's political manuverings 4. Yankees failed to see important problems going back to 2001 that caused their downfall (age in the pitching staff, no reliable bullpen guy after Nelson left, ect) sort of like Trips coming back way too early from his quad injury Steve
Guest Mr. Slim Citrus Posted October 6, 2002 Report Posted October 6, 2002 Does this mean that Triple H has a CLEAN main event job coming in the immediate future? ::hoping beyond hope::
Guest treble charged Posted October 6, 2002 Report Posted October 6, 2002 Yeah, and I ignored you. What's your point?
Guest Kingpk Posted October 6, 2002 Report Posted October 6, 2002 The Yankees returned the main event job last year. However, like HHH, they didn't do it willingly. Now the burying begins.
Guest alfdogg Posted October 6, 2002 Report Posted October 6, 2002 I was just kidding, Treble. Lighten up.
