They have some comps I would really like to have even though they are more expensive than other tape sites. How's the video quality because one of the complaints I have heard is about their bad VQ?

$20 for a video is expensive, but I dont mind it THAT much

The Shoots and Best Of's are pretty bad in terms of VQ, but if you're looking for an actual event, like a CZW

show, or ECWA Super 8, there's no one better. ROH tapes are top-notch quality, shot on digital cameras and a Media 100 editing system, the only thing that lacks on those, (and most indy tapes in general) is the audio.

 

Shipping is great, recently released tapes arrive within 1 week, older ones 2- 2 1/2 weeks. Shirts arrive very quickly, in 3-4 days.

 

I've bought virtually all my tapes from RF, and for the most part, I've come away very satisfied. Most of the horror stories are exaggerated because people don't like Rob Feinstein personally.

 

Personal faults aside, he is THE most reliable tape dealer on the Internet.

I have bought 2 ECW shows and a comp once and they were horrible. Half the comp there was no sound and when they were there was no picture. The ECW tape, well lets just say that I have gotten 5th generation tapes for much cheaper and better quality than an RF master. Seriously guys, if you need something like ROH or indy or almost anything in general you can go to tons of other guys with better reps than RF and with better quality.

2. i don't know RF personally but I'd venture to say the only reason there are so many horror stories is because the guy is a shitty dealer

-if you want indy shows, try YNA or smartmarkvideo.

-if you want ROH shows, make a post that you are looking for those. someone will trade you that show.

-if you want puro, look in the puro folder

Do all RF Video Shoots need the volume turned up real loud? Cause thats what I had to do to watch The Bret Hart shoot. Also, it didn't look like RF got permission to include an episode of Off The Record on that tape, TSN should sue.

Fagstein doesn't have permission to put a lot of the stuff he does on his shoots. He threatens 16 year old tape tradres for copywriting when he does the same thing off bigger companies. He has emailed me bullshit about his lawyers trying to sue me and all this shit. I don't even pay attention to it anymore. I only open it to laugh at him and his imaginary lawyers.

I don't have aproblem with RF really. Their comps are that bad. The best of Wargames is great VQ all the way through.

Ok my take...

 

If you want indies go to www.smartmarkvideo.com, they tape almost all the major indies themselves, RF gets their CZW tapes from SMV and sells you copies of those copies.

 

SMART MARK IS THE SHIT! That's the best way to say it...their tapes range from $12-$20...with most being in the $12-$15 area.

 

And even though RF says they ship prioirty, they take forever to do it...SMART MARK will rush out your order as soon as they get you money.

 

And if you're getting puo get Jeff Lynch's e-mail address.

Having ordered from them, I can testify as to their service.

 

Got my tapes within about a week, but I messed up the schedule, mailing out on an afternoon with a holiday that next monday.

 

VQ is excellent for an indy show.

 

They could edit more and add in some graphics, but it would mean sacrificing speed.

 

For the money you are spending, you are getting a hell of a deal.

Most have really dodgy sound. That's because RF Video are too cheap to buy mic's for the interviewees.

The only good thing about RF is that they get some of the big names to sit down for interviews, if they had any sense of lighting and sound, tapes like Arn Anderson, Bret Hart, Shane Douglas could be classic interviews. Instead they are hard to watch and hear. Rob is to busy trying to get himself over and disproving that he putts from the rough and he knows that people will shell out the money for his tapes. I get them from other people that sell them at half his price and the quality doesnt suffer all that much cause if pretty much sucks anyway. And if you need anymore proof of what a jack off RF is go to Bob Barron's web site and listen to the phone message RF left on bob's machine. What a fucking whack job.
