What do you want to see at Survivor Series?

Survivor Series will emanate from the world's most famous arena: Madison Square Garden. The last five PPV's from MSG have produced six classic matches:

 

SummerSlam 91: Bret Hart vs. Mr. Perfect

Wrestlemania X: Hart vs. Hart; Razor vs. HBK

Survivor Series 96: Bret vs. Austin

SummerSlam 98: HHH vs. Rock

Royal Rumble '00: HHH vs. Cactus Jack

 

This year, the WWE could bring back WCW's best concept - Wargames; we can behold a multitude of 4 vs. 4 Survivor Series elimination bouts; or, we can bear witness to a plethora of title matches.

 

Assuming the WWE brings back Wargames, we'll probably see a RAW vs. Smackdown main event. Can you imagine seeing the top stars on both shows being forced to unite for one, epic battle? If the WWE goes this route, which 5 superstars from each brand would you choose? I would like to see HHH/RVD/Jericho/BookerT/Kane vs. Angle/Benoit/Edge/EddyG/Brock surrounded by steel mesh!

 

If the WWE decides to have single/tag matches, what would you like to see? Brock vs. Edge? Brock vs. Angle? RVD vs. HHH? HHH vs. Booker T?

 

If the WWE decides to have a bunch of 4 vs. 4 elimination matches, what combination of wrestlers do you want to see comprising each team?

Then, I'd have Angle barely go over thus propelling him to his inevitable Rumble victory, while giving Eddie the much needed rub as a legitimate star. I'd give them a half hour - 45 minutes. This is partly based on where things are moving and the Insurrextion card. Two Survivor Series matches sounds right. Haven't quite filled in the gaps but it seems like there's some unfinished business there.

I bet the night after Survivor Series, Bischoff will be deposed, they will air a video montage with Vince Sr. in it a lot for no apparent reason, and then have Vince in the ring in an ugly suit saying, "And as for Bischoff, RVD, the Internet, stockholders, and Viacom...you can all SUCK MY COCK!" And then he'll repeat himself every quarter-hour.

 

Because after all, since the WWE cannot learn from history, they are doomed to repeat it.

 

 

Now if the Suck My Cock Club angle includes Undertaker turning heel AGAIN, and Vince doing the Big Wiggle while JR's hat is balanced on Vince's exposed hard-on (because he's watching Jamal and Rosie turn on Bisch) then we're really in trouble. Don't need to. Just build it up as being the only chance you will have (other than Wrestlemania) to see Smackdown vs. RAW wrestlers. Create interest that way, then use the TV shows to build up for the title matches and Armageddon. My ideal Survivor Series card.

 

Smackdown Title: Brock Lesnar vs. Edge

You need a face to do a job, and Edge is a lot better than Undertaker again.

 

RAW Title: HHH vs. Ric Flair (Street Fight)

Nobody cares about HHH anyways, and people will cheer Flair anyways, so might as well have Flair reveal it was a plan to get HHH and turn him face again. HHH isn't losing, so he might as well beat someone who doesn't have a lot of upside that will be crushed. No reason for it to be a Street Fight, other than its the only thing HHH can do anymore that's watchable. You can even make the Smackdown match a Street Fight, and use the Double Main Event Street Fight as another gimmick to sell the PPV.

 

Chris Benoit, Kurt Angle & Los Guerreros vs. Booker T, Goldust, Chris Jericho & Lance Storm

 

Rey Misterio, Jaime Noble, Tajiri & Shannon Moore vs. RVD, Hurricane, Christian & Jeff Hardy

 

Undertaker, Matt Hardy, Billy & Chuck vs. Kane, Bubba Ray Dudley, William Regal & Chris Nowinski

 

Only 5 matches, because all of them should get a lot of time, in excess of 20 minutes, with the exception of Team Taker/Team Kane. The Benoit match in particular should be around 40 minutes.

Why does everyone on this forum have a hardon for WarGames? I've seen the first two and the 96 one, and I don't understand. It just seems a little too gimmicky for me. The action flow seems formulatic and a little too slow (although could be sped up with the ropes in the middle removed.)

 

WWE also has such massive rings. Would you demand two rings or just use one? I'm sure Vince would try to save money by just dropping the Hell In A Cell over one ring with a door at both corners. Two WWE rings would just seem like a massive expanse that I couldn't see filled.

Believe it or not, the thought of seeing Vince McMahon whip Bischoff's ass will compel the masses, and myself to order the PPV.

 

The average fan doesn't want to see seven technical masterpieces in a row; they want to see a little bit of everything - good matches, gimmicks, T&A, cruiserweights, hardcore brawling, etc.

 

My "perfect" card appeals to the most number of people.

 

Lots of people=order the ppv=perfect card.

Wait... lemme get this straight...

 

Why would people pay to see one heel beat up another heel? Especially when it's a geezer like Vince who wore out his welcome YEARS ago against the guy he endorsed as the RAW GM? Not only does it not make sense, it won't draw to boot.

 

Here's a thought: The fans don't give a flying fuck about Vince anymore. There was a reason why the shows started to tank when he was all over the place and to think that bringing him back for beat Bischoff on PPV will compel people to watch it, you are sadly mistaken.

 

On another note: What "good" matches are on your card anyway? It just looks like one giant clusterfuck with two singles matches(the Women's Title and Geezer-Mania) that would be inherently AWFUL.
