Guest myburninghammer Report post Posted October 7, 2002 Wade had a footer in a update on the Torch site today saying, "Sean Waltman explained to me in great detail what the much talked about "WWE style of working" entails (he has a different name for it that he thinks fits better), how Chris Jericho adapted from his start in WWE when he wasn't ready to be a top player (despite many experts claiming he was)".... Can someone paraphrase what X Pac said?
Guest bcu1979 Report post Posted October 7, 2002 I haven't gotten my Torch in the mail yet this week. But I'd guess it's a continuation of the Torch's version of Chris Jericho's history in the WWE. The one where he was never held back or a vicitm of politics. But instead, he was a poor worker who had poor interviews and matches initially and wasn't "ready" for a push until those good samaritans Triple H and X-Pac took Jericho under their wing and helped him improve. I'm also looking forward to X-Pac explaining how the fans are idiots who don't know who the good workers are. (i.e. - all ex-Kliq members)

Any word on when the part where Sean mentions his main event status in the WWE?
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted October 7, 2002 SAT analogy time! Hogan and WCW : Ed Leslie HHH and WWF/E : Sean Waltman Long ago Sean was a good worker, before the neck injury. Then when he came to WWF and rode HHH's coattails, pushed constantly, and even given an nWo spot. Thank goodness he's gone at last...
Guest razazteca Report post Posted October 7, 2002 would it be fitting if Sean Waltman became the NWA TNA X champion
Guest Banky Report post Posted October 7, 2002 Face it, X-Pac was NOT that bad of a worker. He just was absolutly hated by the marks and smarks throughout the world. He simply got pegged as being a bad worker because of this. Which for the most part, he really isn't. That said, he is no Eddie Guerrero or even Edge. Spazz out headlock, spinning heel kick, 3 kick combo in the corner, face hump and X-Factor as his entire moveset? That's not bad? He WAS awesome at one time, though. Guest Banky Report post Posted October 7, 2002 He did MORE than that - that was just his main set of moves. I know his work degenerated throughout the years, but the way people talk about his work its as though he is Big Bossman bad as a worker. He was average, not good not bad. Thats all I am saying. Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted October 7, 2002 I hope X-pac gets sued for breaking the confidentially contracts Vince makes most guys sign when he releases them.
Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted October 7, 2002 This was in the Torch a Week or Two ago. ----------------------------------------------------- Sean Waltman (Syxx or X-Pac) did his first interview since leaving WWE with the Pro Wrestling Torch this past week. Here are several exerts: -"Let's put it this way. There's like a confidentiality clause in the (WWE) release agreement, so I'm going out on a limb a little bit. But I don't really give a sh--. If they want to sue me over what I'm going to say, then f---in' feel free because it's the truth." -"The match (where Kevin Nash got injured) was chaos. Nobody knew what the hell they were doing going into it. Michael Hayes was supposed to be the agent in charge of the match and he did absolutely f---ing zero to help organize that thing. We don't really need an agent to organize a match in the first place, but that's what that place has turned into. In Michael's defense, and everybody knows about the heat between he and I, but the guy does work hard to puts a lot into what he does and he was spread thin that night. He had a couple more matches than he should have had to deal with. It was a ten-man tag... It was a major clusterf---..." -"There's talent there (in NWA-TNA), Wade, and I'm not afraid to admit it, who can do sh-- that I could never do. I thank God that I have one thing over those people and that's my brain. When they catch up to me in that regard, then it's time for me to hang up my boots... I think those guys need some work as far as being able to know when to do some of that stuff they do and know when not to."
Guest Brian Report post Posted October 7, 2002 X-Pac was ana amazing bumper at one point in time. Worker, he was not. But, if you wanted to put a match together he vwould bump his little ass for you. Five hundred concussions later...

Guest Brian Report post Posted October 9, 2002 Who there is a better worker than X-Pac before the two neck injuries and multiple concussions? There's Lynn but he conceded that during interview.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Report post Posted October 9, 2002 Yes..but that was how many years ago? His problem NOW is that all he did was sit on his past accomplishments, and not do shit except when he was in trouble (like put on one decent match a year to save his job). Guess the WWE got fed up with his not wanting to lose, and bang.
Guest Brian Report post Posted October 9, 2002 But X-Pac was still at one point as smart a worker as any of those guys, sans Lynn. And he can still work that way when he wants to, despite the laziness.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Report post Posted October 9, 2002 Yeah, but he dosen't. Just because he's capable of it dosen't make him good.

Guest El Psycho Diablo Report post Posted October 9, 2002 Eh. Guys who have talent, but lack experience can learn. Guys who have talent, and experience..but don't use it..that's much worse.
Guest Brian Report post Posted October 9, 2002 But his whole point was that he was smarter...and he's right.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Report post Posted October 9, 2002 I dunno. If he was smarter, he'd still have the job that pays him like 3x what he's doing now, and a guaranteed paycheck. While he may not be pulling crazy spots like AJ/Lynn/Ki..they weren't able to sit on their ass for years with their buddies keeping them safe, either.
