bret vs. owen, the opener match at one of the ppv's.

austin vs. HHH, best of three falls

austin vs. bret, WM13

flair vs. vader, um....(little help?)

bret vs. shawn, ironman (aquired taste)

HBK vs. Razor Ramon, ladder matches (both of them)

that's all off the top of my head.

Austin vs. HHH was in 2001 so it gets disqualified.

I would put on the two Austin/Hart matches, as well as Bret/Owen, Hogan/Warrior, HBK/Razor ladder matches.

Shawn vs UT HIC is the best match I've ever seen and should be obligatory on your comp.

Nobody's mentioned Bret vs Bulldog from SummerSlam 92.

Shawn vs Diesel IYH is a kickass match.

Savage vs Warrior from WM VII is a must have.

I think Hardyz vs E/C from No Mercy 99 also qualifies.

I'm sure I'm missing some others that haven't been mentioned yet.

Peace.

It's just my opinion, but I guess I don't see a point in making a comp of PPV matches since they aren't really rare. I think comps are best when they include TV matches and handhelds and stuff like that just because anyone can find any PPV match quite easily. Oh well, it's not my comp, it's yours, so do it however you want. :)

That wasn't even the best U.S. match that month....Rey Misterio Jr. vs. Eddy Guerrero from Havoc '97 is way better.

The 10 best matches in the WWF throughout the entire ninetees, IMO, would have to be these classics.....

1. Austin vs. Bret (WM 13)

2. Bret vs. Owen (WM 10)

3. Shawn vs. Razor (WM 10)

4. Austin vs. Bret (SS 96)

5. Bret vs. Owen (SS 94)

6. Owen vs. Bulldog (First Euro Title Match, 97)

7. Austin/HBK vs. Owen/Bulldog (May 97)

8. Shawn vs. Razor (SS 95)

9. Royal Rumble 1992

10. The Hart Foundation vs. Austin/LOD/Shamrock/Goldust (CS 97)

It's obvious from the list that the four best wrestlers of the 90's were Austin, Bret, Shawn, and Owen.  All these men were involved in the best matches of the 90's IMO.

Here are my 20 favorite WWF matches of the 90s.  I won't do a WCW seeing as how I didn't start watching them until 94, and apparantly I missed some good stuff.

Chronological Order:

1.) Bret vs. Perfect, Summerslam 91

2.) Royal Rumble, Royal Rumble 92

3.) Bret vs. Bulldog, Summerslam 92

4.) Bret vs. Perfect, KotR 93

5.) Bret vs. Owen, WrestleMania X

6.) Shawn vs. Razor, WrestleMania X

7.) Owen vs. 1-2-3 Kid, KotR 94

8.) Bret vs. Owen, Summerslam 94

9.) Shawn vs. Razor, Summerslam 95

10.) Bret vs. Diesel, Survivor Series 95

11.) Bret vs. Shawn, WrestleMania XII

12.) Shawn vs. Diesel, IYH 7: Good Friends, Better Enemies

13.) Shawn vs. Mankind, IYH 10: Mind Games

14.) Bret vs. Austin, Survivor Series 96

15.) Bret vs. Austin vs. UT vs. Vader, IYH 13: Final Four

16.) Bret vs. Austin, WrestleMania XIII

17.) Hart Foundation vs. Austin/LOD/Shamrock/Goldust, IYH 16: Canadian Stampede

18.) Shawn vs. UT, IYH 18: Badd Blood

19.) Rock vs. Mankind, Royal Rumble 99

20.) Hardyz vs. Christian & Edge, No Mercy 99

Honorable Mentions:

Hogan vs. Warrior, WrestleMania VI

Shawn vs. Jarrett, IYH 2

Royal Rumble, Royal Rumble 97

Austin vs. Dude Love, IYH 22: Over the Edge

Rock vs. HHH, Summerslam 98

Although if you wanted to start the tape with Hogan/Warrior and end with the Tag Ladder match to really show the WWF's evolution through the 90s, I'd say put Hogan/Warrior on there (And Austin/Dude as well, so each year has at least one definitive match) and take off Owen/Kid and the Final Four.

Any comp without the Owen vs. Bulldog final from the Euro tournament is a waste of time.

That's the best TV match I've ever seen.

I have that match (that's what happens when you tape Raw every week for 6+ years) and it's a great match.  Last time I saw it, I had it about ****1/4-****1/2.  Not the best U.S. TV match I've seen, of course, with Flair vs. Steamboat Clash 6 being #1.

Bulldog/Owen was the only TV match that placed in the top twenty for the DVDVR in the WWF, which shows it was pretty good. I have a lot of random RAW's on tape, and that was one of the few. I've always been thin king about doing a Hart Foundation vs. Steve Austin comp because the re-match sparked the whole thing in a way.
