You guys, you just don't get it do you? Kane needs to get over as quickly as possible if they want him to actually draw against Triple H. So, they push him. And if that means going over in a TLC match, then so be it. They did the same basic thing in the TLC match that Benoit won when Edge and Christian smashed his ribs. He disapeared for the rest of the match... until he came out for the finish. It's common TLC procedure.

Benoit was sent to the back after missing a headbutt and going through a table. E&C smashed his ribs with the Conchairto when he came back out near the end.

I have to agree, I don't really think Kane squashed the other guys in the match. Hell, he was lying on the ground for at least 10 minutes. Kane just had to be the one to end up winning, because he's going into that "big" unification match, and so they wanted all the TLC's "heat" to go on Kane.

 

Of course, HHH's "heat sense" started tingiling, so he lumbered out to the ring as fast as he could to steal it.

 

As for Kane no-selling all that damage at the end of the match, well, there's the magic zombie powers for ya.

I think this is a typical smark reaction to the company attempting to push Kane who could be, and is more marketable then any of the Canadians(Benoit included) so they can make money on the PPV. Just because the big guy wins, everyone starts whineing.

had he just been the guy on the team to grab the belts, this would be the case. but he won the entire god damn match BY HIMSELF. now: everybody in a tlc is required to look stupid to pull off some of the spots (like jeff hardy choosing to swanton kane through a table instead of go for the belts when literally NO ONE was even in the ring), but kane winning the second-most hellacious match they have against 3 other teams BY HIMSELF is just pissing on every single other person in the match.

 

of course, the way they structure tlc matches, there's no strategy involved whatsoever and the winner is always chosen out of about 99% luck, so this may not have made him look any better at all.
