New folder idea

The WWE folder is the most popular one on the whole board. Because there is so much stuff going on inside it, people with slower connections have to wait longer for the page to load up.

Why don't you '86 the WWE folder and replace it with a folder for RAW and one for Smackdown! WWE treats them like seperate federations anyways, each having their own world and tag titles, stopping the show jumping angles.

just something to think about

I kinda like the idea. It also might help stop a lot of crappy posts and/or more than one thread about a topic.

We could make the current WWE into a sub-folder (Like the OaOast & SWF folders) with one folder being Raw, the other Smackdown. Although I remember people complaining about that sort of thing when the WWF folder had No Holds Barred in it

I know I once suggested merging the Old School (since it's mostly WWF related topics) folder with General Wrestling to create an "Old School WWF" folder, much like the one at the Kayfabe Memories board.

That's not a bad idea.

Split WWE off from the other wrestling folders; make a folder for Raw, one for Smackdown, one for the B-shows, and one for the PPVs. The rest of the wrestling folder can be renamed to something like "Other Wrestling," and can keep the contents it has now.

I think Tom had the right idea there with multiple sub-folders. Then those threads that are about the WWE as a whole could go in either General Wrestling or a Misc. WWE Folder.

i think the idea is great but i don't think you need a separate folder just for ppv's and the b-shows. i think you can have the raw folder, the SD folder and then another assorted folder for the rest of the wwe product.

I'm not fond of it. In spite of insisting otherwise, the WWE is not serious about the split, so why should we?

Just my opinion though

it clears it up since people make ONE AND ONLY threads about shows then 10 or 15 threads pop up about the SAME THING. So it say go for it. Do a WWE main group

three folders in it.

RAW

Smackdown

Misc WWE.

Eh, I don't really see the point, but then I'm on college ethernet now so I'm not sensitive to bandwidth concerns like I was three months ago.

I been on cable for the last 14 months. But I was on a 14.4 before. So I know what slow is.

I'm not feeling it. </Taker>

Look at the WWE folder now: the majority of the threads are just general topics not specific to any 1 show. The "General WWE" folder would get the majority of the topics & traffic. What else would go in the Raw or SD specific folders besides the thread for the shows and spoilers? Sure, current angles could be discussed, but there aren't that many threads like that going now. Unless you wanted to keep all threads concerning a partic. wrestler w/in his/her brand's folder.

The current set-up is fine w/ me.

here is a better idea. Lets see how this goes...

1: Make a WWE Event thread

So One and Only topics like RAW, Smackdown, HeAT, Sat Night Combo, PPVs.

All threads about matches, promos, and other type shit about the shows go into this thread.

2: Make a Misc WWE thread

all other type WWE shit goes into here.

I don't often read the threads about actual shows, so it wouldn't matter to me. I don't think it's needed, but i guess it wouldn't be that bad to split it up. I don't think there needs to be seperate folders for Raw and Smackdown. One folder for shows and PPVs and one folder for everything else WWe would be the best solution IMO.
