Guest brokentusk16 Report post Posted October 10, 2002 Scott Keith did this idea while ago, and there's an article on 411 doing the same. It got me thinking: maybe I could do this too. I've "borrowed" some ideas from the two articles, but I'm having trouble coming up with more original ideas. Here's what I have so far. If anyone can think of any to contribute, I'd appreciate it. Thanks. Title: World Wrestling Champions Location: Mega City, United States East Coast Premise: Over the past few years, Mega City has seen its crime population increase exponentially. Mayor Eric Bischoff has been elected to run the criminal element out, but has been secretly working with some of the city’s biggest criminals for his own purposes. Hope, however, is not lost. Mega City has its heroes who combat these villains at every turn. Characters: Heroes 1. Justice Avengers: Based in Mega City, these heroes have banded together to fight evil. Their roster includes superheroes: The Patriot; millionaire Kurt Angle, given powers beyond those of mortal men from an accident at his international company Angco. Edge; a mysterious and enigmatic being who‘s mystical powers help the cause of good. Mysterio; hailing from Mexico, Mysterio’s powers of speed and amazing agility come from a long line of honored ancient warriors. Mighty Molly; superheroine given the power to control the air. Lionheart; Canadian special agent Chris Jericho who was altered by the insane Dr. Richards into half-man, half-lion, he now works with the Justice Avengers. 2. Black Mask: In each generation there is one who is taught the ancient fighting form known as Harde’Kor, which combines martial arts, Zen, and mystical forces. In this generation, the chosen one is Rob Van Dam. After years of tutelage in Japan under his predecessor Muta, Rob returned to his home country the United States, only to find corruption. As part of the code of Harde’Kor, Rob assumed the identity of Black Mask to combat the dark forces. 3. Kane: Glen Jacobs was selected by the military to be a guinea pig in top-secret project to create a “super soldier”. Before the tests were complete, however, terrorist agents attacked the facility and destroyed it with an immense fireball explosion. Although the government and terrorist agents were all killed, Jacobs survived. However, the combination of the testing and the blast wiped his memory away. Only one word echoed in his otherwise blank mind: Kane. The fire burned his body, destroying his nerve endings, thus enabling him to feel no pain. With his enhanced healing ability slowly healing his body and superhuman strength, Kane struggles to find his past. 4. The Hurricane: Painfully average and dull reporter Gregory Helms was conducting a filler news piece for the Daily Globe at Mega City’s observatory when a comet crashed to Earth and hit the observatory. The comet’s strange energy gave Gregory the ability to generate an energy field around his body. With this field, Gregory has the ability of flight and limited super-strength. The field can also create projections of energy into whatever shape Gregory can think of. Gregory now uses his powers to fight crime as the Hurricane. Recently, the Hurricane has allied himself with the man known as Kane to form a formidable, and very unlikely, duo. 5. Booker T: Having grown up on the meaner streets of Mega City, Booker T turned to a life of crime early on. His toughness, fighting skills, and ingenuity helped Booker rise quickly through the ranks of local gangs. Eventually, Booker found himself as an enforcer of HHH. Booker was one of the first to undergo the experiments that Hunter Hearst Helmsley forced on his men. When the experiment was over, Booker found himself possessing skin as hard as steel. Shortly afterward, Booker turned on Helmsley and HHH. Booker is now the protector of Mega City’s streets, keeping HHH’s gangs from spreading their influence to the city’s good people. Villains 1. Mayor Eric Bischoff: Despite his claims to bring about the end of crime in Mega City, mayor Bischoff wants nothing of the sort. He’s power-hungry, through and through. Aligning himself with Hunter Hearst Helmsley and others, Bischoff works toward his goal of attaining absolute power, even if it means taking down President Vince McMahon. Yet, despite his powerful alliances with Mega City’s criminals, some of Bischoff’s allies are unknown even to Helmsley. 2. Hunter Hearst Helmsley: Leading the international crime syndicate, “HHH“, Helmsley’s main base of operations is in Mega City. Not satisfied with one city, Helmsley now wants to expand his influence to a global scale. To accomplish this, Helmsley has made alliances with other super villains and crime bosses. One such ally has been President McMahon’s own daughter, Stephanie. With a growing army of super villains at his disposable, HHH’s power grows. 3. Dudley Boys: Being mercenaries, Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley are willing to take any job for money, even if it means going up against the world’s superheroes. Arming themselves with the latest in technological warfare, the Dudley’s have made quite a reputation for themselves. And with Helmsley and Bischoff’s backing, they have access to anything and everything to complete their missions. 4. Big Show: Hunter Hearst Helmsley’s personal bodyguard, Paul Wight volunteered for one of HHH’s programs to be altered. Now standing at 7 feet tall and possessing vast super strength, the Big Show is totally loyal to Helmsley and will follow him into hell if necessary. 5. The Beast-Men: As part of his attempt to expand his crime syndicate, Hunter Hearst Helmsley funded a project headed by Dr. Steven Richards that spliced human and animal DNA. In order to further Richards research, Helmsely “recruited” some of his biggest crime competitors, including: Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Perry Saturn, and the enforcer known simply as the Rhino. Another unwilling test subject was undercover Canadian intelligence agent Chris Jericho. Richards performed his experiments, and met with almost perfect success. Despite altering them physically, the subjects escaped captivity before mental controls could be installed. Jericho returned to the Canadian government and was assigned to the American super-group the Justice Avengers. The others, now calling themselves the Radicalz, returned to crime, more powerful and dangerous than before. Despite his past failures, Richards continues his experiments, hoping to provide Helmsley with the perfect genetically-altered soldier. 6. Statixx: When he was just a teenager, Sean Waltman was struck by a bolt of lightning and given the power of electricity. He became the Lightning Kid, one of Mega City’s first superheroes. As time went on and the criminal element grew, however, young Sean began to see Mega City’s darker side. Growing more jaded as he got older, Sean eventually turned on his fellow heroes and took up a life of crime. He grew his oily hair out and filled in a beard, usually dressed in tattered leather jackets. Now calling himself Statixx, this former hero has made a partnership with Helmsley and is one of HHH’s top operatives. 7. Unhumans: Over the past decade, the superhuman population has risen. Although some are due to extenuating circumstances, some are just born with special abilities. The Unhumans are a group of those with natural powers who see themselves as superior to humans. Their leader is Lance Storm, a man with the ability to find the weakness in any opponent. The second in command is William Regal, an Englishman with the ability to create a powerful energy field around his fist. Other Characters 1. President Vince McMahon: As president of the US, Vince is well aware of Mega City’s rime rate. By publicly backing Eric Bischoff, Vince hopes to gain support for his campaign. The question is: is Vince working with Bischoff, against Bischoff, or for his own goals for power? 2. Commissioner Mick Foley: As the police commissioner of Mega City, Mick stays in contact with the Justice Avengers and secretly works with Black Mask as well. Mick knows about Bischoff’s involvement with HHH and is working to and expose him for the scum that he is. 3. D’Lo Brown: Running an underground radio station in Mega City, D’Lo serves as the voice of the people, dishing out reports that main news outlets won’t release. D’Lo is a great supporter of Mega City’s heroes, he even gets support from Police Commissioner Mick Foley to help expose Eric Bischoff.
Guest gthureson Report post Posted October 10, 2002 If you are serious about it, I wouldn't call it Mega City. Unless you plan on having Judges on their flying motor cycles taking care of business.
Guest brokentusk16 Report post Posted October 10, 2002 I know, Mega City is just a temp name until I can come up with a better one. Any ideas?
Guest pochorenella Report post Posted October 10, 2002 How about Champion City (I think that's taken already) or Titan City?
Guest HellSpawn Report post Posted October 10, 2002 Good idea. I, and thats MY opinion, pitched an idea to SK... Made Steph a mmmm.. tweener or face, like Talia is on Ra's al ghul vs Batman Stories. Maybe in a Jericho vs HHH feud, Jericho in love with her, but she have to be with her man. I ask him to turn Steph face, because thats harder, than just play with people's "I hate her" attitude. Guest Karnage Report post Posted October 13, 2002 or...Slam City. Shawn Michaels could be another ally of HHH also. He could be beaten up severely in Syracuse and then Dr. Richards could fix him up with Cheetah DNA so he has super speed.
Guest brokentusk16 Report post Posted October 14, 2002 Titan City sounds MUCH better! The HBK/Cheetah idea sounds pretty good. What Richards experiments will lead to is turning Austin (Who'll be a vigilante-ish hero) into part Rattlesnake and using him against the Justice Avengers. BTW, can anyone help me with a better name for them? I'm trying to get the word "faces" in, but just can't seem to do so.
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted October 14, 2002 The comic should focus on HHH...and Kevin Nash's hair.
Guest RevEvil Report post Posted October 26, 2002 Maybe Stephanie can start out as a spoiled bitch that slowly changes into a good person. Ric Flair could run against Bischoff in the next election.
Guest raptor Report post Posted November 2, 2002 The animalistic experiments are way too much like Kieth's World Hero Federation (actually, that and the Austin thing are almost verbatum from his stories). If you're serious about being creative with it, use a different scenario as the main plotline. The character origins are pretty good, but a better choice for Hurricane may be to make hima Guardian of the Galaxy, like his hero Green Lantern.
