Post your Comic Book TPB collection

Recommended Posts

Guest pochorenella

Since there are other similar threads posting DVD collections, CD collections, and wrestling tapes collections, I figured, why not a Comics TPB Collections thread? Fun, huh? I'm also curious about other comic book fans here. I’ll start with mine, but first a few clarifications:

My tastes are mostly Marvel-superhero-oriented, so that’s why you’ll find no Preacher, Sandman, Maus, Cerebus, etc. It’s not that I don’t like them, I’ve just never read them, but I’d be willing to give them a try one of these days.

From DC, I mostly like only Batman, and my Superman TPB is only because I wanted to see how he died. I have a friend who’s a DC fan and he lends me his JLA TPBs for me to read anyway.

No X-Men collections because my cousin collects them, so I don’t see the need for me to buy them since I can read them for free.

Notable exclusions, ie. Man Without Fear, Kingdom Come, Man In The Iron Mask, and some others, I have in single comic-book form, so no need to get the collected editions.

Ok, here we go! Let’s see if this thread goes anywhere:

Sorry poch, but I don't really buy TPB's due to the fact that I own most of the singles issues that are in the TPB's. I'm also not a big fan of them due to my belief that they render fans buying singles issues meaningless if the book will be put into a TPB after the story has ended. But I can also see why fans will buy them so it's really a Catch .22 in the long run.

However...

I do own the Batman: Dark Knight Returns 10th Anniversary TPB just because I was interested in the sketchbook it had.
