Guest mastermind Posted March 1, 2002 Report Posted March 1, 2002 How many wwf wrestlers on the current roster HAS NOT been a champion that wrestles regularly? It might give some insight on how the situation is effecting championship matches and why the midcard is flat. The answer is amazing.
Guest mastermind Posted March 1, 2002 Report Posted March 1, 2002 A sidenote: This only includes regular wrestlers who have won only WWF sanctioned titles. This is not including wcw titles.
Guest Tony149 Posted March 1, 2002 Report Posted March 1, 2002 I voted 1. I know a lot of guys have been champions. I remember Meltzer saying that the Royal Rumble match, mostly all the guys had won belts.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted March 1, 2002 Report Posted March 1, 2002 This is a TRIVIA QUESTION. Its not a POLL. A POLL is for OPINIONS, you are asking for FACTS.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted March 1, 2002 Report Posted March 1, 2002 Funaki has never had a WWF title. Other than that, I am lost.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted March 1, 2002 Report Posted March 1, 2002 Hell, I just remembered that Funaki is a former Hardcore Champion.
Guest Tony149 Posted March 1, 2002 Report Posted March 1, 2002 The Hurricane hasn't won a WWF Title. He was only WCW Crusierweight Champ.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted March 1, 2002 Report Posted March 1, 2002 Hurricane was WWF European Champion.
Guest Tony149 Posted March 1, 2002 Report Posted March 1, 2002 Damn! I forgot about that. Nobody cares about the European Title. Now I wonder if the answer is really none.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted March 1, 2002 Report Posted March 1, 2002 Come to think of it, I don't recall Booker T having won a WWF title belt.
Guest Tony149 Posted March 1, 2002 Report Posted March 1, 2002 Yeah, Booker T has won the Tag Titles with Test. I think every WWF wrestler has won a title.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted March 1, 2002 Report Posted March 1, 2002 I thought that was the WCW Tag titles. I seem to remember it going like this. WWF Tag Titles Taker & Kane Dudleys WCW Tag Titles Taker & Kane Booker & Test Hardys Dudleys
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted March 1, 2002 Report Posted March 1, 2002 I don't think that Steven Richards has...but he doesn't really wrestle anymore.
Guest Tony149 Posted March 1, 2002 Report Posted March 1, 2002 You know, I think you're right. I think Booker T & Test beat Taker & Kane for the WCW Tag titles.
Guest mastermind Posted March 1, 2002 Report Posted March 1, 2002 Marvinisalunatic you are right, but I wanted a percentage of what people thought and then discuss why the midcard is just going in circles without anyone really getting elevated.
Guest Tod deKindes Posted March 1, 2002 Report Posted March 1, 2002 Lessee... Hugh Morrus. He's listed on WWFSuperstars.com and I don't recall him winning WWF gold. Ditto Chavo Jr. Steven Richards Tommy Dreamer Justin Credible Billy Kidman. He's had unification bouts for the CW and LHW belts with X-Pac, but he's never officially held the LHW, only the CW. Brooklyn Brawler. Hey, wwfsuperstars.com is as best as any a list of the current roster, and he's listed, so Jerry Lawler Mighty Molly Shawn Stasiak These performers, I do believe, are the only ones currently signed with the WWF and who don't have a WWF related title to their record. (title of 'King' not included) EDIT: Removed Haku, I remembered his Tag title reign with Andre the Giant.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted March 1, 2002 Report Posted March 1, 2002 The question wasn't asked to include people who haven't been regularly on TV...which those people haven't since November.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted March 1, 2002 Report Posted March 1, 2002 Booker T/Test DID hold the WWF Tag Titles. They beat the Hardyz, then lost them to Rock/Jericho who then lost them to the Dudleyz.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted March 1, 2002 Report Posted March 1, 2002 Yes...they were WWF tag champions... As far as those guys listed who haven't held WWF gold...They ARE on the WWF payroll...but last I checked they were on the HWA roster...
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted March 1, 2002 Report Posted March 1, 2002 Oh ok. Thanks AlwaysPissedOff. Those titles were moving every week, I couldn't even remember Rock/Jericho being champs.
Guest mastermind Posted March 1, 2002 Report Posted March 1, 2002 Tod your list is close to the answer(which has been answered already), but some shouldn't be included. I have YET to see Hugh Morrus in a match since Invasion(I don't even remember his match at the ppv). I may be assuming he had one since he was in the original days of the invasion. Chavo Jr. is another one. I can't remember seeing this guy wrestle other than on Heat I think. Not even sure of that, so he is obviously excluded. Steven Richards is another exclusion as he never wrestled regularly. Tommy Dreamer has yet to have a match in the wwf that I have seen(he hasn't). Justin Credible probably had a handful of matches in the horrible X-Factor group that lasted for about 1.5 hours. Kidman hasn't wrestled regularly either as you can count the number of times he has wrestled on your hands. Brooklyn Brawler is funny I give you that. Jerry Lawler hasn't wrestled in how long? Shawn Stasiak had how many matches again?
Guest JaKyL25 Posted March 1, 2002 Report Posted March 1, 2002 Just to clarify, here are the WWF and WCW Tag Title lineages from their initial unification by Taker & Kane at Summerslam 2001 to their permanent(?) unification by The Dudley Boyz at Survivor Series 2001 (The dates after the team names are when they won the titles) WWF World Tag Team Champions: Taker & Kane--Summerslam Dudley Boyz--Raw between Summerslam & Unforgiven Rock & Jericho--Raw the night after No Mercy Booker T & Test--Raw (Or was it SD?) a couple weeks later Hardy Boyz--Raw a week or 2 before S. Series Dudley Boyz--Survivor Series WCW World Tag Team Champions: Taker & Kane--Summerslam Booker T & Test--Smackdown (Possibly Raw) between Unforgiven and No Mercy Hardy Boyz--Raw or Smackdown sometime right before No Mercy Dudley Boyz--The first Smackdown after No Mercy (The night before this, they lost the WWF Tag titles to Rock & Y2J) It's weird that the second half of the WWF lineage reads the same as the WCW lineage, but that's how it happened. Hardyz were WWF Champs going into S. Series, and Dudleyz were WCW Champs. By the way, Rock and Jericho need a Smarky team name I think. How about: Rock 'n Role Model Connection? Rock 'n Wrestling?
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted March 1, 2002 Report Posted March 1, 2002 I was about to say that the Dudleyz were the WWF tag champs at S. Series last year, but then I checked my DVD case. Carry on now.
Guest mastermind Posted March 1, 2002 Report Posted March 1, 2002 Ladies and Gentlemen the answer is ONE! The only person is Molly Holly! I will talk about it more in the thread about "a belt needs to go" started by someone else.
