I voted cats...when cats are friendly they can jump up and take a nap in your lap...where as a dog knocks you over trying to hump your leg and lick the skin off your face.

 

I've had a couple cool cats and a couple plain retarded dogs.

Got three cats -- they're just like kids. Whenever one pulls out a toy from their box that hasn't been noticed in months, one of the other two want it as well.

 

I have no problem with dogs, but they're too high-maintence...

Tough call. My roommate and I currently have two cats, though I'd never owned a cat before last year. I've been around dogs for a good portion of my life, though, so I'd have to give the nod to dogs. But I like both.

I hate cats. Nothing but pain, misery, and black holes that suck up your time and money. Sure, sometimes they're cute, and they'll lay on your lap once in a while, but then they claw your neck. I still have a scar.
