It's the subtle way of making Austin look like Brock's bitch so that they could push Brock and leave Austin looking like a joke. There are so many reasons why this would have been stupid and business exposing...since Austin would have just walked out on TV. Then again...that may have been the point.

This would be the perfect way for him to get rid of Vince's last remaining star, permanently, and all Trips would be left to worry about is Rocky's movie career failing. I wonder how they would go about forcing Lesnar into this? Or would it be along the same lines as Vince "forcing" Shawn to go along in Montreal? I dunno, Vince gets rid of Austin without having to pay the rest of his downside guarantee and he can't go to any other companies until his contract runs out (like they'll really be any) and his worth is diminished... I can see how paranoid people trapped in jobs they must all be growing to hate could easily believe it, but I still don't understand how Vince can seriously believe that he's better off with Helmsley than Austin. And, even if Austin didn't accidentally get hurt, I still can't see how this wouldn't all end in litigation, since I assume Austin has plenty of money for lawyers and this would probably breach some part of his contract.

That's all I don't get about this. Yeah, so Austin was getting buried, and they wanted to put Brock over. But to do it like that? Have Austin possibly get hurt, have what amounts to a shoving match in the middle of the ring on live TV, and have Austin just leave on live TV, never to be seen again? What the hell kind of master plan is that? If it wasn't so ridiculous, I'd belive it. But I've said that about a lot of other "McMahon classics" too.

He gets him to walk out without actually having to risk the dangers of going through with that on live tv and with all the benefits of him breaching his contract. Maybe I take back that thing about Vince being a fucking idiot. Though I still don't see the smarts in choosing Trips over Austin.

If anyone is going to give it to you straight about everyone else...it's him. However, he'll likely gloss over his own powerplays at the same time. 2. Jericho. Oh the stories he should tell. He's spoiled though because after years of abuse hostges start to have feelings for their captors. So it would likely turn into a defending Nash and HHH this instead.

I think that something shady definitely went on, maybe something alot like this. But for some reason, it just doesn't feel right. Like there's a pice or two missing to the puzzle. Vince does seem to have fallen into a funk since Austin left, though that could be because his plans without Austin backfired severely. Who knows. If it ever comes out that this did actually go down, I'd be somewhat surprised. But then, in this business it seems the wildest possibilities usually turn out to be the true ones. SP

I have to wonder why it's coming out now, for example. One thing I do believe though. Vinnie will do anything to get what he wants.

Triple H came to the powers-that-be, namely Taker, Vince, and JR, and said.. no, I won't put in the uh's, that's done now, here's what he said, anyways.... "Austin is below average." That's pretty standard for Hunter, you know. But then Austin starts complaining of an aching neck and bad knees, but the WWE won't let him go. He writes letters to Vince Russo saying Austin will not only come to the NWA, but he'll also give all the dirt on Brock, one of Vince's most cherished employees, hitting women, if Russo can help Austin think of a way to get out of his contract. Vince, JR, and Taker intercept a copy of the letter, and Taker and JR think Austin should be given a stiff match with Lesnar, as in Lesnar will shoot, hurting Austin, and sending him a message. The boys in pro wrestling call this a Code Red. (By now you should see where I'm going with this, but if not, continue.) Austin dies in the middle of a WWE ring a few weeks later. It happened on a Sunday night house show, so nobody saw it. The next night, they attempt to cover it up, and they do a pretty damn good job of it. But some of Russo's lawyers go over those letters he got from Austin, and think something fishy's going on, and when Brock finally goes to trial for murder, it's the NWA lawyers who defend him in pro wrestling court. They go over how Brock was just doing his job, but no WWE guys heard the Code Red order other than Brock, apparently, and JR kills himself in full black hat, WWE long-sleeve button-down shirt apparel with a microphone. So anyways the trial goes on and on and on, until Vince is called to testify, because he's always been so cocky, and the NWA lawyers are sure that he wants to admit to the code red, all resulting in this speech at the end by Vince McMahon-- "You want the truth? You can't handle the truth, DAMMIT!" Brock gets off on both murder counts, but is thrown in jail for behavior unbecoming of a pro wrestler. He doesn't know what that means, obviously. Vince goes to jail, too, but first he points out that they cost the public today, because the NWA doesn't know how to entertain, and they don't eat breakfast downstairs from about a hundred pro wrestlers who want to kill them. Ok, I know a lot got lost in this translation, so sorry to have bothered you all.
