Guest Tony149 Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 Forgot about Jericho, but I'm not shock to know Test has won pretty much every WWF belt.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 That's right. I bet HHH gets himself that Hardcore title soon...
Guest goodhelmet Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 Hey if Vince keels over and Shane runs the company anytime within the next 5 years, then Test will be World champion. Hell, he might even end up marrying Steph, starting the McMahon Martin era, and how scary would that be?
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 "Hey if Vince keels over and Shane runs the company anytime within the next 5 years, then Test will be World champion. Guest Tony149 Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 Shane already wanted to put the WCW Title on Test...so nothing stopping him from putting the WWF Title on Test. Hopefully Shane sticks to his President of New Media job for the time being.
Guest Tony149 Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 I hate the little dance he does. What the hell is with that?
Guest Tony149 Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 Good for you. I just don't like it. He looks stupid doing it.
Guest Redhawk Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 If you look at how the storyline was shaping out, I think Test was booked to win the WWF Title at Survivor Series 1999. He was a major player in the Vince-HHH feud. Big Show seemed kind of thrown in there, like someone refused to pull the trigger on Test's title win and they just figured "what the hell, put Paul Wight in there. He's had to feud with Bossman over his dead father for a month."
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 well whoever decided not to pull the trigger on the tittle win i thank them big time, though i wish they hadn't picked big slow to fill in.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 Does ANYONE actually want to defend that Test was a credible IC champion? Was he over? Do you realize that Test has held the IC, Euro, Tag Team and Hardcore titles? What's up with that? I think there hasn't been a credible IC champion since last year with Jericho's title reign. After that, the belt's been passed around so much, that it started to look like Russo was booking again. But, I stopped caring about the IC title a long time ago, so I could care less about who's held it or how over they were or weren't.
Guest n/a Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 I'm just a bit surprised no-one has mentioned ...The Honky Tonk Man!! In my eyes, the Honky Tonk Man was the best Intercontinental Heavyweight Champion of all time.
Guest The Hitman Returns Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 I agree with Jackoff...The Mountie absolutely sucked, Albert was not much better. I personally thought Chyna as IC Champ was pretty cool.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 honky tonk was one of the greatest IC champs ever (perfect and bret being my other two fav's) he ruled back in the day, he got tremoendous heat.
Guest goodhelmet Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 anyone who beats ricky steamboat in that manner after the war with savage is public enemy numbero uno in my book. F*** HTM!
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 oh come on it's not honky tonk's fault vince is a jackass.
Guest dmos1 Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 What's up with all the hate for Test and Albert? They're both talented big guys, but veeeery few wrestlers get over with a bad character or character development that changes every two weeks. Look at Steve Austin during his "Ringmaster" phase. My vote goes for Jeff Jarrett, his ring style was so generic and his interviews make HHH look like Ric Flair.
Guest converge241 Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 Jeff Jarrett as worst? wow I think Road Dogg was the worst, sure Billy Gunn wouldnt have been much better but at least they had that buildup for Gunn to chase the dam thing. That whole time period post-Shamrock til the Chyna mess saw the wrost string of IC champs ever= road dogg, goldust, goddfather, chyna, co-champions, edge for one night, dlo. Dont get me wrong there are some good wrestlers in that bunch, but it didnt help them. And the people who were crowd pop acts (godfather and dogg) didnt even need it anyway. Both devalued it. It got better once Jericho won that three way over Chyna and Holly and then to Angle etc.
Guest dmos1 Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 I guess my subconcious had blocked out the Road Dogg, Godfather, Chyna and Billy Gunn reigns to protect my sanity. I guess I should say Jeff Jarrett was the worst of the champs when the IC title was taken seriously.
Guest converge241 Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 I guess my subconcious had blocked out the Road Dogg, Godfather, Chyna and Billy Gunn reigns to protect my sanity. LMAO
Guest Army Eye Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 uhh Jeff Jarrett?? I would kill for Jeff Jarrett as IC champ right now
Guest areacode212 Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 Hm. I didn't even remember Albert, Godfather and Test were IC champions. So I guess they can share my vote. Even Chyna wasn't that bad, for the novelty value. But really, I haven't cared about the IC belt in years, so until they bring up the value of that belt somehow, it will continue to suck.
Guest bob_barron Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 Look at Jericho for multiple titles- he's won WWF Title, I-C, Tag, Hardcore, Euro and the Cruiser title that Tajiri holds. Worst I-C title holder: Albert
Guest mastermind Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 Pedro could be the worst. I have the history of the I-C title on video and YES Pedro is horrible in the ring. Honestly, guys like Ultimate Warrior look like Ric Flair in the ring compared to him. The Mountie? How many former I-C champs can say they beat Hulk Hogan? (lol) I all forgot Edge won the I-C title in Toronto. I think it's easier to count the memorable reigns than the less memorable.
Guest saturnmark4life Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 Billy Gunn was pretty damn bad, but Benoit sqaushed him so it didn't matter. I have no problem with Test, and have been an Albertmark4life on occasion, even though he didn't really deserve the belt. I hated mid 99 when the IC scene was Venis, Goldust, Road Dogg, Gunn and Shamrock, some of the most mediocre guys on the planet. Soon as it's on RVD it'll be alright.
Guest Flyboy Posted March 3, 2002 Report Posted March 3, 2002 I hate the little dance he does. What the hell is with that? Hee-hee... I find the dance funny. I sort of like it. Everytime he does it, it makes me think, "WHERE DID SHANE GO?! WHERE DID SHANE GO?!" when he was running his stint with the Big Show. ANYHOW, back to the topic at hand... I'd say Albert or Test. I mean when a heel beats you for the title (one of my favorite wrestlers, BTW) and the crowd pops then you know it wasn't time for Albert to have held the title.
