Recommended Posts

Oh well....random post.

Not really. I'd rather him do that on a show I don't watch than play Twister and Connect 4 with Regal on a show I do watch.

As opposed to Regal dressed in drag?

I feel kinda sad when the shows are over, as they are the highlights of my week. I get kind of a "Now what?" feeling.

Damn, I suck.

Fo sheez,

Well, exactly. As a big fan of Foley before he became a human Muppet, I'd rather *not* see him involved in current WWE programming. His ability to get people to care about him and his matches would have been overwhelmed by the creative team's ability to make people completely apathetic. Foley's better off where he is.

This is true as well. I guess despite missing him, he's better of where he is.

I feel that way for about 3/4ths of the year, Kotz. During football season, however, wrestling can't even compete. The only reason I ever feel sad when RAW is over is because they've fucked it up again when they should be doing so much better.

Whenever I see people here complaining about how much Raw sucks, I couldn't understand why they just don't do what I do and NOT WATCH. I can only figure that wrestling means a lot more for some people than me. I've only watched wrestling for about three years, so, if the program sucks, I find it easy to skip out. Maybe if I were into it my whole life, it would be different.

I get a bit of a let-down feeling. I always look forward to watching Raw, no matter how bad it gets, because at least it's wrestling. And besides, it could always end up being a good show, ya never know...

I've been watching wrestling since I was about eight with the exception of a two year (or so) period in the mid 90s. I really have too much time and money invested in it to stop watching now, even though it is a bit of chore at times. And there are portions of almost every RAW that I enjoy to some extent. Jericho, Booker, and RVD especially. Then Smackdown has a lot of great wrestlers, including Kurt Angle who's already become one of my favorite wrestlers ever. So while I really get frustrated with it sometimes, I imagine that wrestling is something I'll continue watching until it isn't readily available anymore or I die. Whichever comes first.

I've been watching wrestling for maybe 4-5 years. Ever since WCW ended...I started tuning into WWE in hopes of seeing old WCW people.

I was the only one in my crew who watched WCW. I was mentioning things they had no clue about...they was mentioning things I had no clue about.

I get sad after RAW is over knowing that I have to wait a whole freakin' week before I get to see RAW again. I also like what I'm seeing right now, so that makes it worse. :(

I'm glad for Mick's sake, if he indeed has enough $ to be "comfortable" for the rest of his life. The thought of him taking years off his life doing crazy stunts for this current product would make my stomach turn...

Although i have watched wrestling much longer than you Inc, I have also taken the same path. If I have nothing better to do, I'll watch RAW but I don't lose one econd of sleep thinking I should have watched it. I used to feel the same way about SD immediately after the split but now SD is can't miss tv. The matches have been too good to risk missing out!

I've stated this before and I'll say it again. There are too many alternatives out there for wrestling fans for them to give up completely on wrestling even when the fed is sucking shit. I don't worry about missing RAW because I know somewhere there are 1000 great matches I need to see and eventually I will watch them all!

I don't watch RAW, I don't have any desire or anticpation towards RAW, and I very rarely regret missing RAW. That includes TLC from last week, which from what I read was 90% recycled spots from past TLCs, one of which I have in full on my computer and the other I have on tape.

Once RAW gives me reasons for watching again I'll consider it.

I look forward to RAW every week, but recently have been either left way disappointed or embarassed with what just happened. Like the "IT WAS YOU HUNTER!" and "YOU KANE ARE A MURDERER!" endings. So. Totally. Wrong. But I still look forward to seeing my boys and am always interested in how the show's going to end, even if sometimes it isn't exactly Shakespeare through it all.

I just tape it so then you can go back and watch what you want and fast forward the rest of the garbage.

I couldn't agree more with that sentiment ... I'd rather watch Monday Night Football or hockey on Thursday than the WWE lately. I'll read the reviews and the boards, and try to see if I missed anything. It's been a long time since I feel like I truly missed much. When I start to feel like it's worth watching again, I'll start watching again.

I haven't watch Smackdown the past few weeks, and I'm not too worried about it. I taped them, though, but I still haven't watched them. RAW is something that I consider a must watch show every Monday, but even still, I could go without watching it if I had to. So far, I've watched every RAW this year.

So how the fuck are you gonna know its gonna be worth watching if you dont watch it.

I watch it because its the WWE, the same one i've watched since 1989

I think of Raw like it's my retarded son. Sometimes it will do things that don't really make sense or that piss me off, but sometimes it will do something that is so stupid that it's kind of funny. As much as it disappoints me sometimes, it's a part of me and i'll still love it at the end of the day. You always have to look at the bright side. Life is too short to get angry or bitter or depressed about a show that you chose to watch for 2 hours a week.

There are such things as recaps out there on the wonderful thing that is the Internet. I believe that there's one on this very site.

Don't even try and tell me that I'm obligated to watch. I've been watching for 10 years, it doesn't make a difference. I still get my wrestling fix on Smackdown - just because it's a different name on a different day doesn't make it any less of a wrestling show.

Life is too short to get angry or bitter or depressed about a show that you chose to watch for 2 hours a week.

That's exactly my reasoning too. Life is too short to be constanly supporting and expecting something that just won't deliver, and will ruin my watching of other shows, like Smackdown, which I've come to enjoy a lot over the last month. Isn't that what they wanted from the roster split? Brand rivalry? I've chosen my side.

::whispers the sad truth to Nevermortal... it's the 90-lb talentless wonder whore herself, Christina Aguilera!::

Anyway, back on topic... uhhhh.... if Mick Foley was in the WWE right now, he'd be broken down and washed up. In that case, I'd rather see him happy on a show I don't watch.

Yeah, no shit. Next time I'll try to avoid humor on these boards.
