Guest packwingfn Report post Posted October 13, 2002 Today is my day Today I get to see my Green Bay Packers for the very first time as they come to Gillette Stadium to take on the reigning Super Bowl Champions, the New England Patriots, Ive been waiting 10 years for this day to come and I am so pumped. I know the packers have been around before but it was impossibile to get tickets in the past, but now my parents are current season ticket holders for the Patriots, they marked this date off for me, Its me and my mom (my moms a big sports nut haha)...and tomorrow she'll be wearing her Brady Jersey and Ill be there with my Favre Jersey and I cant wait, I cant even sleep right now....... Now with the questions, Any predictions for todays game, Scores? How will everyone do? Im only worried about our defense since their all backups practically with all our injuries, specially to our Cornerbacks, anyone got any recent injury reports on Troy Brown? is he gonna play or no? All I know, is we just need Brett to be on his A game and play like he did on Monday Night and we'll be all set My Final Prediction: Packers 38, Patriots
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted October 13, 2002 My prediction: You are gonna get mugged in the parking lot wearing a Favre jersey. Wear something over it so you can at least make it to the stadium.. PS - The Patriots are going to win the game..
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted October 13, 2002 The Pats are gonna kill 'em so I can get this cheesehead albatross off my neck that was placed there due to that infernal bet with Kotzenjunge.
Guest Y2BigJ Report post Posted October 13, 2002 With the Pack's defense so banged up I predict the Pats big. Final score: Packers 21, Pats
Guest Y2BigJ Report post Posted October 13, 2002 Troy Brown will be playing also.
Guest nl5xsk1 Report post Posted October 13, 2002 I think it will be a close game, but I think that Brady can do more against an average Packers defense than Favre and Green can against the Pats defense. So, the Pats will win (hopefully)
Guest DrTom Report post Posted October 13, 2002 The problem the Patriots have is that good running backs tend to torch their defense. Priest Holmes, Ricky Williams, and LaDanian Tomlinson have all eaten them alive this year. I think Ahman Green will do the same. Brady against a weakened Pack defense won't make up for the damage Green and Favre will do.

Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted October 13, 2002 Now unloading at Gate P: The Patriots Bandwagon....lol I bet the Pats wish they had Bledsoe back...he's been playing much better than Brady over the last few weeks..
Guest Kingpk Report post Posted October 13, 2002 Ladies and gentlemen, my new sig and avatar. Yes folks, Favre IS God.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted October 13, 2002 well. Im not stupid enough to think that the Redskins can beat the Packers next week. I dont know of anyone that would be that stupid.
Guest Grenouille Report post Posted October 13, 2002 Now unloading at Gate P: The Patriots Bandwagon....lol I bet the Pats wish they had Bledsoe back...he's been playing much better than Brady over the last few weeks.. Bledsoe would have been nice today, but then again bringing back Scott Zolak or Hugh Millen could have produced better results than Brady today. They seem to be in cruise control too. After the first 3 wins, everyone stopped trying. To quote Apollo Creed they need the "eye of the tiger" again, they're just not hungry anymore.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted October 13, 2002 I can guarantee with Miami and Buffalo in the East, if the Patriots dont get it turned around quickly, they wont make the playoffs.
Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted October 13, 2002 Goddamn local stations kept me from seeing the game, and lack of a working car kept me from going to a sports bar. I had to keep updated through Game Breaks and score updates. Either way, I hope everyone is accepting Green Bay as for real now. And kudos to Kingpk for taking this like a MAN. Will Alina follow through or will she try and use some kind of technicality? Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest Grenouille Report post Posted October 13, 2002 I'll be as objective as I can predicting the rest of the year for the Pats. Denver-Broncos Buffalo-Pats Chicago-Pats Oakland-Raiders Minnesota-Pats Detroit-Pats Buffalo-Pats Tennessee-Pats Jets-Pats Miami-Dolphins By the end of the year with my picks, they'd finish 10-6, which may be a little hopeful, but can be done, maybe... Guest Leena Report post Posted October 13, 2002 No technicalities. I watched the entire game, and Green Bay was by far the better team today. Favre took advantage of all the opportunities he had. I forget how damn good he can be sometimes. As far as them being real? Eh... probably North champs, but not the best team in the NFC. Anyway, Spoon wins. He gets whatever he wants when we meet in December. He stated he wants only what I want, so his wish is granted. I also don't get 1600 of his posts. Oh well, with my recent post whoring, I'm only a week or so away from 1000. I also don't want to get to 7000 too quick, because then I'd feel like a huge loser. By the way, you can rub it in. LOL at the Scott Zolak pic, and the "We want Scott Zolak" chants in the game.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted October 13, 2002 Go Pack!!! Favre is God
Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted October 13, 2002 Alina takes the loss like a MAN... er, WOMAN too. You're much better than the Bears fans, only one of whom actually admitted that the Pack was the better team. And like I said, I hate announcer blowjobs unless the player is worthy of the endless praise like Favre is. (looks at the Brett Favre "Leadership" poster on the wall and tears up, but in a MANLY way) Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest packwingfn Report post Posted October 13, 2002 Just got back from the game, and can I say, Im very very happy seeing my Packers destroy the Patriots! If anybody doesnt take Green Bay serious now then I really dont know what drugs your on, Brett Favre IS god!!! and thats all I have to say about that... To that person who said I would be mobbed for wearing my Favre Jersey in the parking lot, I was fine, there was a very good amount of Packer fans there with their cheeseheads so I fit in, I wore my whole jersey throughout the whole game and with a few occasional Favre sucks chants, I was fine. Then everyone, is sayin our defense sucks, ya they may not be the best but how many INTS do we have this year, WITH backups!!! 5-1 Packers GO PACK GO!!!! Guest Sassquatch Report post Posted October 14, 2002 Even though my boys the Raiders lost to the lowly Rams *sob* I was happy to watch the Pack destroy the Patriots on their own turf. Games like those make me proud to be a Cheesehead.
Guest nl5xsk1 Report post Posted October 14, 2002 Congratulations to the Packers fans ... they were a much better team than the Pats, so deserved to win handily. Question for the other Pats fans: Am I the only one who cringed with disgust each time Brady tried a deep ball? Man, did we get spoiled by Bledsoe, who at least came CLOSE on those long passes. Brady threw like a little kid, just hucking it downfield and hoping a receiver was close enough to catch it. At least the Pats carried me until hockey season, where I can watch the B's go for the Cup ... what's that? They lost by how much?? To the F-ing WILD?!? It's going to be a long winter. Guest Y2BigJ Report post Posted October 15, 2002 Shit, the Pats have to turn this around quick. I just hope Miami does there usually fade once it turns cold. I still think the Pats are better then the Bills , and hopefully they are going to give Miami a run.
Guest The Voices In Your Head Report post Posted October 15, 2002 I gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised with the Pack yesterday. I didn't think we had too good of a shot with our defense being so banged up. But what happens? The D has their best game of the year! With a 2 1/2 game lead, we might have the NFC North sewn up by the end of November! I didn't think Green Bay was going to get off to as good a start as this. With a win over Washington on Sunday, we go 6-1, and we're in the driver's seat for home field advantage for the NFC Playoffs.
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted October 15, 2002 Either way, I hope everyone is accepting Green Bay as for real now. The Packers are good... I'm not denying that. BUT, they got beat by my boys (the Saints).
Guest packwingfn Report post Posted October 15, 2002 Give us New Orleans in Green Bay anyday....and there may be a different outcome!
