Guest TheDames7 Report post Posted March 1, 2002 Did you guys know someone, did you use a temp agency, did you apply in person? What was the interview like, etc. Any horror stories? I'm on the look for another job right now and I just wanted to know. Dames

Guest converge241 Report post Posted March 2, 2002 Monster.com and just getting every local paper you can. Temps are good cause you get to try out differnt stuff. Just make sure it's temp to perm. My wife did that for a while. No college experience and not the best job background and she makes 15 an hour now in an office full time.

Guest areacode212 Report post Posted March 4, 2002 Hehe. Some people from work occasionally drop by here and know that I post here, so you won't be getting any incriminating info from me!
Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted March 6, 2002 I got my job because I like wrestling! No word of a lie. I work for a company specializing in anything and everything wrestling. It's mostly mail order, but we do have a showroom that the few people in the know can come and check out. About 3 years ago, a friend of mine that somehow knew where this place was took me there, and it was like a godsend. Videos, old magazines, rare figures...a true smart marks dream! I struck up a friendship with one of the guys there, and I passed along my number, saying if they ever needed any help, I'd be happy to work there. A few months went by and I heard nothing, and then the night before my 19th birthday, got a call from one of the guys at the company, asking if I was still interested in a job. I went in the next day, on my birthday, and was hired pretty much on the spot. I started working two weeks later (only 2 days after having all 4 wisdom teeth pulled...not fun, but I toughed it out),and I think I impressed them all with my work ethic. Been here ever since, and the benefits (backstage meetings, working at Wrestlemania last year, etc.) are great. Just goes to show that you can get ahead just by being yourself.
