For US History, we have to read a book that has to do with American Literature, then write a paper about the historical background of it. Obviously, I'm not gunna read this 215 page book by Thursday (which he assigned to us last Friday), so does anyone have any info on this like essays I could take notes from, anaylsis, etc.? I haven't had the chance to look at Sparknotes.com today cause I'm so busy, but I figured posting on here would help. Thanks to anyone who can help me out. If you want, you can either e-mail me something at [email protected], Get on MSN and message me @ [email protected], or PM me. Thanks to anyone who can help again.

Well, here's a topic of discussion for you:

How is it that a book that was written by a CANADIAN is a big part of AMERICAN literature?

Shoeless Joe is a quick read...Make sure you read the book and not watch the movie...It's drastically different. It's a very good piece of fiction I read it in 8th grade.
