Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted October 14, 2002 Here's the article from ESPN. A fracture to his right thumb near the joint. Happened w/ 3:30 to go in the 4th. Probably out ~1 month, which is killer w/ the upcoming schedule (Bills, @ GB, @ Jets). Ray Lucas will be the starter. He played pretty well in preseason, but we'll see how he does in the real games. They probably won't even change the game plan of "run Ricky to set up the passing". Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that Fiedler is a bad QB. It didn't work in NO. That's 6-8 *WEEKS*, not 6-9 *MONTHS*. You just gave me a heart attack. Kotz - I hate betting on my teams. Whenever I do, they lost roughly 95% of the time, so I get pretty superstitious about doing it. Plus, we'll be w/out our starting QB. Also, I fear it will be Kylie-related. Denver's defense took Ricky out of most of that game, so Miami can still win without Ricky running teams over.
