Guest welshjerichomark Posted October 16, 2002 Report Posted October 16, 2002 pwll? How is that pronounced? its really hard to explain, something like "puth"
Guest welshjerichomark Posted October 16, 2002 Report Posted October 16, 2002 extremly sorry to be triple posting, but pilgrim, where abouts in wales are you from?
Guest Pilgrim Posted October 16, 2002 Report Posted October 16, 2002 I'm from Swansea, what about you?
Guest welshjerichomark Posted October 16, 2002 Report Posted October 16, 2002 blackwood, its about 10 miles from newport i guess
Guest Marshall Posted October 16, 2002 Report Posted October 16, 2002 Blah my god. It has to be welsh, what the hell else can it be?
Guest evenflowDDT Posted October 16, 2002 Report Posted October 16, 2002 Blah my god. It has to be welsh, what the hell else can it be? Well, if welshjerichomark, a lovely lady who has no reason to lie or misrepresent herself, doesn't recognize it, although she's not fluent, that adds evidence that it might not be welsh. It could be just gobbledygook and the letter writer was screwing with you. And apparently since its still bothering you five years later, it worked. Excellent...
Guest Dr. Wrestlingphysics Posted October 16, 2002 Report Posted October 16, 2002 I'm not Welsh, nor live in Wales, and I can tell that it doesn't look Welsh.
Guest welshjerichomark Posted October 16, 2002 Report Posted October 16, 2002 thank you for backing me up guys. marshall, u should go on an online translator if u wanna know what it means, it sounds like an eastern european language to me, maybe russian? on side note, since this is a thread about wales i would just like to say wales 2 italy 1 yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaahhhh!
Guest Pilgrim Posted October 16, 2002 Report Posted October 16, 2002 Yeah we beat Italy 2-1 it should have been 3 but the ref was one of the worst i've seen in a long time. Plus what makes it sweeter is that England could only draw with Macedonia. Oh and to try and keep on topic a second welsh opinion says its total nonsense or Bulgarian, you never know
Guest The Czech Republic Posted October 17, 2002 Report Posted October 17, 2002 Is it possible that it's a related Brythonic language such as Cornish or Manx?
Guest welshjerichomark Posted October 17, 2002 Report Posted October 17, 2002 i dont really want to keep bumping this topic, but ive just realised that its DEFINATLY not welsh reason being there is no letter "K" in the welsh language. a further note for english football fans, i think its a disgrace that england couldn't beat macedonia in their home country when wales defeated last years world cup favorites in a match that had a ref so stupid it made earl hebner at 1997 survivor series look unbiased and professional.
