Wifebeater to retire

Recommended Posts

Guest Sandman9000

At CZW's last show, Beyond the Barrier, Wifebeater (through Mac Smack, as Beater usually doesn't talk) announced his retirement from professional wrestling. His shoulder has been messed up since COD3, which kept him out for a majority of this year and will not heal properly. Also, in his three years in CZW, his body has taken an obscene amount of punishment, and simply cannot continue operating in such a fashion. The CZW locker room emptied as the crowd showed their appreciation.

Wifebeater's final match will be Oct. 26 in Dover, against Zandig in an I Quit/No Rope Barbed Wire Match.

Now, you can say how Wifebeater was a shitty wrestler with no talent and deserves to burn in Hell for almost killing Yamakawa and everything else, and you'll have a point. However, I respect the man for going out there for three years and slaughtering himself for my entertainment. Who knows how many years off his life Wifebeater has taken due to his matches? You can say what you want. But I will just say this:

Wifebeater, thank you.

Over in Big Japan, Beater was facing Yamakawa (obviously). During the match, both men were on the apron, with a table below. Wifebeater was going for a Choke 'N' Stein (Baldo Bomb) off the apron through the table. However, when he lifted, Yamakawa's foot got stuck on the bottom rope. Beater managed to fuck up the move even more from there, overshooting the table and causing Yamakawa's head to hit the concrete at a sickening rate, fracturing his skull. It kept Yamakawa out of action for a long time, as there was speculation as to if Yamakawa would be able to even continue wrestling.

Ask in the puro folder, and I'm sure someone will be able to give you an answer with greater detail, as well as a good deal of Wifebeater and CZW bashing.

Why do you think I was sending you?

Ask Jingus. He doesn't bite much, and usually apologizes afterwards.

I was never really a fan of his but he always gave it 100% when he went out there and did some really crazy stuff for CZW. So on this basis I must wish him a happy retirement.

It seems that he will lose his last match, it would make no sense to put hin over. So should you really have him facing one of the biggest stars. Why not out him in there with a young up-and-comer so he can sort of give them the rub when they make him quit. just a thought.

I know what you mean. I'd rather have Beater face Nick Mondo in a 200 Lightbulbs rematch from their meeting at TOD or have a solid 1 on 1 with Necro then face Zandig again. However, it's Zandig's company, and the match is sure to be graphic and a proper sendoff to Beater's career.

I wonder what the hell they are going to do with the Big Japan Deathmatch belt. Put it on someone else, have another tournament (I can't see them waiting another year for a second TOD to do that, though), forget about it, send it back to Big Japan, or what.

Atleast he knew when to retire. Im not a huge fan of the guy, but he busted his ass and I knew of him, so hey atleast was doing something right. Good luck in whatever he does.

Is that messed up bump on the Death Match bible tapes?
