Guest AfricanAmerican Report post Posted October 16, 2002 RAW NOTES * Before Raw began, Christian & Chris Jericho cut a promo against Montreal and Quebec in general. They did the same thing the last time they were in Montreal, with Lance Storm, to avoid the ‘Canadian face pop’. * They showed an ad for the Scorpion King DVD. Upon seeing The Rock, the Montreal crowd went into a VERY loud ‘Rocky sucks’ chant. * Dunno if it was just me, but it seemed that outside the main event, the crowd was more alive during breaks than during the show itself. The pointless ‘Kane the murderer’ angle killed the crowd. * Dunno if this made it on the air… In what was probably a rib by McMahon on the Montreal crowd, the WWE showed an ad for something called ‘WWE Anthology’. The ad featured the Hitman music, and a shot of Bret Hart, from behind, featuring the words ‘Coming soon’. Half the crowd including me almost had a heart attack thinking Bret was making a comeback, before booing profusely and starting ‘You screwed Bret’ chants. The heat against Hebner in the main event was assuredly because of this stunt. That was one lousy samoan drop..no way he couldn't have gotten injured from that one. Was I the only one on this board that knew RIGHT AWAY that the Bret Hart music was for the Anthology? He gets booed in places like New York/New Jersey and Canada, but those fans ALWAYS react differently to things than fans everywhere else do. No way fans in the midwest or Texas or Florida or any other place that isn't NY/NJ or Canada are going to boo The Rock. It'll just be the Austin heel turn all over again. Guest DJ Jeff Report post Posted October 16, 2002 I've always wanted the Rock to turn heel for the longest time, but seeing as how he's in between both Hollywood and the WWE, it won't be happening.
