Guest Youth N Asia Posted October 16, 2002 Report Posted October 16, 2002 No one goes into the comic forum except comic people...we should have a forum for books and such
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted October 16, 2002 Report Posted October 16, 2002 See my idea for a school subjects folder. Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest treble charged Posted October 16, 2002 Report Posted October 16, 2002 That would be one dead folder, IMO. If no one is in there talking about books, what makes you think a new folder will make them start, all of a sudden?
Guest Incandenza Posted October 16, 2002 Report Posted October 16, 2002 The only life this potential forum would get is every couple of months when someone starts a Catcher in the Rye thread. Bad idea.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted October 16, 2002 Report Posted October 16, 2002 The book forum at the old smarks site got no traffic.
Guest Cancer Marney Posted October 16, 2002 Report Posted October 16, 2002 Why does everyone seem to want to add forums to the board, all of a sudden? Have I missed something?
Guest J*ingus Posted October 16, 2002 Report Posted October 16, 2002 It's a cyclic thing, it happens every few months or so. Same thing with people getting pissed at the mods for "abusing" their powers, and board invasions/evacuations.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted October 16, 2002 Report Posted October 16, 2002 ABUSE OF POWER NO WAIT! INVASION! NO WAIT! I'M TAKING MY BALL AND GOING HOME!
Guest Retro Rob Posted October 16, 2002 Report Posted October 16, 2002 I'M TAKING MY BALL AND GOING HOME! I say give it a few weeks and that trend will be the next to return.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted October 17, 2002 Report Posted October 17, 2002 I've been there and done that. I actually recommend it as it gives you a chance to realize it's just a message board and that time heals all wounds.
Guest Marshall Posted October 17, 2002 Report Posted October 17, 2002 How about a new forum just for suggesting new forums.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted October 17, 2002 Report Posted October 17, 2002 I'M TAKING MY BALL AND GOING HOME! I say give it a few weeks and that trend will be the next to return. When was this trendy? I don't remember that.
Guest J*ingus Posted October 17, 2002 Report Posted October 17, 2002 The various times that various people said "screw you guys, we're making our OWN forum!" and left the board for however long.
Guest Retro Rob Posted October 17, 2002 Report Posted October 17, 2002 I've been there and done that. I actually recommend it as it gives you a chance to realize it's just a message board and that time heals all wounds. Latley I've been cycling in and out of all message boards. I get involved for about 3 weeks, get sick of them and spend 2 weeks away from them. I guess that is essentially what all those "I quit this message board" people also do, I just don't bother with the long-winded, whiny, farewell post.
Guest Midnight Express83 Posted October 17, 2002 Report Posted October 17, 2002 If you want to see a good exidus from this board, delete post counts, sigs, and and titles. That when the shit quickly hits the fan.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Posted October 17, 2002 Report Posted October 17, 2002 The exodus that would cause wuold be massive... but we could get even more people back if we banned Anglesault.
Guest Retro Rob Posted October 17, 2002 Report Posted October 17, 2002 BTW, I forgot mention it earlier, but Jingus, thanks for switching my User Name for me. Seeing how I'm like the third person to do such a thing, maybe THAT will be the latest trend.
