Guest Lord of The Curry Report post Posted October 16, 2002 I expect Eddy to do a run in at No Mercy, but yes, it is not right that he doesn't have a match.
Guest treble charged Report post Posted October 16, 2002 FUCK. MATTITUDE~! is already being held down with not only no match at the show but a damn Rikishi mixed tag match that was there to further the Dawn/Torrie feud. DAMMIT. Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge Matt's gotta rest himself up for the big bump he'll be taking in the HIAC match.
Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted October 16, 2002 No Mercy antics for Eddy: Matt Hardy, Eddy and Chavo can come out from under the ring to help Block beat up the Undertaker some more. Smackdown foursome: Brock Lesnar, Mattitude, Eddy and Chavo
Guest Lord of The Curry Report post Posted October 16, 2002 Fuck that shit Rob (no offense), but Eddy does not need Lesnar to get over as a heel, if anything, he'd make Lesnar look like some Gringo pussy, so I highly doubt they'd ever put Eddy with Brock. Matt Hardy is benefiting from running with Lesnar, though, Heyman mentioned him in a backstage vignette w/ Steph.
Guest kane3212321 Report post Posted October 16, 2002 Did the crowd do the TWOOOOOOO~! after counts?
Guest Banky Report post Posted October 16, 2002 Fuck that noise, Eddie and Chavo should rock it by themselves. There is no logical reason why your God, Eddie Guerrero, should carry those hacks around. There is no excuse for this, none at all. He has been nothing but a company man, and this is how he is repaid. Goodness gracious, I bet D'lo friggin Brown will have a match on that PPV. Wow, this blows my mind - honestly. Where's Anglesault to sympathize with me? For ocne I want to complain. Fucking shite.
Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted October 16, 2002 so, will they finally turn Benoit face to trigger a Benoit, Edge, Rey v. Guerreros, Angle match at SurSer or something?
Guest Lord of The Curry Report post Posted October 16, 2002 kane- Some of the crowd did the "twoooo" thing, but overall, not really. We "What'd" the Undertaker while he was cutting a promo proclaiming his innocence, but other then that, not much to report out of the ordinary.
Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted October 16, 2002 Goodness gracious, I bet D'lo friggin Brown will have a match on that PPV. Wow, this blows my mind - honestly. Are you smoking crack? D'Lo has had ONE match on RAW in the last year. Who the hell would he wrestle on PPV? It seems to me that you are just whining excessively. Not everybody can get on a PPV. It's not like the Guerreros will be out of town and not show up.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted October 16, 2002 We also whatted Heyman after the show
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted October 16, 2002 You know, I just noticed something... In a way, this Matt Hardy/Undertaker feud has been going on since December/January! Remember when Taker punked out the Hardyz? Maybe this is Matt's revenge!
Guest Banky Report post Posted October 16, 2002 Eddie should do a run-in on the Undertaker-Brock match. He should challenge the winner and take the title. Frick, I'm so frustrated that I am becoming dillusional. I dunno where they are going with this Eddie/Chavo vs. Benoit/Angle vs. Mysterio/Rey. At SS, I'd much rather see Eddie/Benoit or Eddie/Rey than any tag match.
Guest Mulatto Heat Report post Posted October 16, 2002 Only 12 minutes for the Can-Am/Guerreros match? CRIMINAL! I'm still looking forward to it though. Eddie and Chavo looking to sit out this PPV? No idea where Angle and Benoit go from here. Angle doesn't even act like a heel anymore. At least it's compelling and not stupid (despite what AS says). Matt Hardy throws stiff punches now? I'm surprised! Why? Rent Unforgiven 1999 sometime where he lays some hilariously bad punches to Christian and see. A 6 minute plus Brock squash?! Uh oh..... at Bob trying not to boo Cena. Too funny.
Guest Lord of The Curry Report post Posted October 16, 2002 Banky- Expect Benoit and Angle to go over at No Mercy, loose the titles in a three way at SS then probably have their blowoff match at Armageddon, with Angle turning face and planting the seeds for the Lesnar feud. Hey, that's how I'd do it.
Guest Banky Report post Posted October 16, 2002 Well D'lo did a run in on the Island Boyz with Big Show, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see that match added to the show. Secondly, I am not whining excessively, I am just kinda shocked that the WWE would piss on all the hard work Eddie has done for them. Maybe I am wrong, but they should atleast find *something* for their best worker.
Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted October 16, 2002 Eddie should do a run-in on the Undertaker-Brock match. He should challenge the winner and take the title. How would a sudden title change from one heel (Brock) to another (Eddy) help anybody in the WWE? Wouldn't it just hurt the title more? do you even care about that? Frick, I'm so frustrated that I am becoming dillusional Some would call that an understatement. At SS, I'd much rather see Eddie/Benoit or Eddie/Rey than any tag match. You do know what they have at Survivor Series.. they're called Elimination matches. I figure they will have some of those this year. So wait until SD or something for Eddie/Rey Well D'lo did a run in on the Island Boyz with Big Show, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see that match added to the show. Not likely. Big Show did stand next to the Island Boys in the Main Event. I think D'Lo will sit this one out also. Anyways, what's your problem with D'Lo? Secondly, I am not whining excessively No offense, but you are sounding like a child having a tantrum. Not to mention it's based off the delusion that D'Lo will wrestle on Sunday. Eddy and Chavo WILL do something. Don't fret. I am just kinda shocked that the WWE would piss on all the hard work Eddie has done for them. It's not like they are making him take the GED and come out in a low ryder in 2002. It's not like they started an "Eddy screwed a dead girl/old lady" angle. How many dollars has Eddy made for the WWE? How many PPVs has he sold out for them? Maybe I am wrong, but they should atleast find *something* for their best worker. Eddy won't be vacationing in Brownsville with Chavo and Timmy. The Guerreros will show up.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted October 16, 2002 Banky- I want Eddy on the PPV too but who can he face?? I mean the only face I can think of is Rikishi and well- yea
Guest Banky Report post Posted October 16, 2002 I'm glad you are the authority on everything, we'd all be lost without. Now where to begin 1. The Eddie/Brock scenerio was a complete joke, I'm glad you took it hook, line, and sinker. 2. I think it could be understandable why I could be a little upset that Eddie isn't on the card. My posts were negative, but there was only 3 of them, thus I hadn't had time to really get going. AND, many of them, except the first one here meant to be sarcastic, not whiny. 3. Never put it past the WWE to put BigShow/Dlo vs. 3 Mins. They are pushing the team hard, and while run-ins on RAW can be pointless, MANY of them do go somewhere. So don't consider me irrational for thinking it may happen. 4. Run-ins don't make hardcore fans buy the show. I could care less that these guys are doing a run in. I'd prefer to see them actually wrestle. 5. Instead of acting like Vince McMahon and asking what Eddie has done for the WWE, ask yourself as a fan, has Eddie put his ass on the line to entertain you? Yes. Who gives a fuck what he has drawn. Vince should see the effort put through. 6. If you have a problem with any of my 5 retorts to you, you'll gladly find me in the NHB folder so I can really tell you what I think of your sassiness to me. In my humble opinion, your last post was kind of a shot at me, but I'll take the high road. Unless you wanna say it where I can be a dick back.
Guest .3.0.7. Report post Posted October 16, 2002 i was at the show, too.. section 103, row 16, seat 7. good seats, i guess.. directly across the arena from the smackdown screen thing. mr. barron has already given a basic rundown of the show, but here's my perogative: the ovw jobber matches were both pretty useless. benjamin vs venis MIGHT make it to velocity, and if so, it's one worth watching, as it was a good match outside of one blown spot (the WOW catapult) which will most likely be edited out. the local dude that albert fought was BOBBY RUDE, who wrestled in the ecwa super 8 tournament this year. he got like, zero offense. i don't know what bob barron meant when he talked about the "no one cared about albert" thing, cause MAN was the crowd showing some hatred for him. i had a pretty good overview of the whole arena and they were just booing the shit out of him. the most heat, i think, was for when he called himself "sexy". tajiri vs funaki was a nice match, condensed into 3:56 (i timed the intriguing matches). funaki got some really good reactions, too. the shannon moore vs crash match blew, got some boring chants and was good for a pre-sd! bathroom break. d-von and simmons' promo was pretty funny, but i think they hook one of those up every week before the show to get the crowd anti-whoever. i guess they knew that d-von and simmons would get no reaction. the match with rey/edge was very good, though, with no slow spots and a lot of quick action and good spots. i'm glad it was short, too. longer would have made it worse. noble vs nidia was useless, i was about the only one in the arena cheering noble on and urging him to just start whooping the shit out of nidia. taker gets "WHAT?"'d as he tries to explain his side of the story with tracy or whatever her name is. i heckle the nearby undertaker fans with cries of his old-manliness and the chances of him throwing a hip walking to the ring being very high, hence they kept the interview in the back. cena vs kidman was boring, but picked up well at the end. the "cena sucks" chants were plentiful.. and not because he's a heel (because we only heard one line of his "i am turning heel now" promo that he cut before the match), but because HE REALLY SUCKS. i was hoping for an ssp, but my hopes were unfulfilled. long match, too. i made an offhand comment that "if this was on raw, they could have had like 6 matches by now!" which cracked up a few people around me. taker going nuts at steph meant that i cheered for taker to start beating steph with the cast to shut her the fuck up. brock vs palumbo was pretty useless. okay pop for brock's entrance, but the "lesnar sucks" and "goldberg" chants started quickly. the crowd around me started chanting "lesnar sucks" which prompted me to yell that "i thought canadians were educated!" at them. the superkicks were sweet, but another two minute bearhug gives me less hope for brock than i've ever had before. taker running down the ramp was good for a laugh, as i likened it to crash holly's style of walking. the beatdown was pretty stupid though. matt hardy version 1.0's entrance is SWEET. i was marking like hell as soon as it started. dawn got an okay pop, matt got some heat, but also some cheers from people like myself. another loud yell from me: "you want jeff?! THIS IS THE TALENTED GUY IN THE HARDY CAMP." the guerreros segment was just awesome. hilarious, and benoit did not need to say ONE WORD to get himself over as super pissed and ready to kill anybody and everybody. the angle promo further solidified this, and the crowd went nuts for him. benoit/angle vs guerreros was great. shitty beginning, with rey and edge cleaning the guerrero's clocks, as well as angle/benoit, but once the match started, it was really good. ran about 13 minutes after eddie first made contact with angle (no opening bell), and the tag formula portion of the match didn't come into play until about 6 minutes into the thing. please god do NOT air a commercial during this match. great ending, as well.. but you could see benoit hitting the guerreros with a chair from a mile away. angle was incredibly over, getting a ton of "ANGLE! *clap clap*" "ANGLE! ANGLE! ANGLE!" and "WE WANT ANGLE! *clap clap clapclapclap*" chants from everyone. a few people started an "angle sucks" chant, which i quickly calmed down by telling them that he does NOT, in fact, suck. the main event interview.. i was begging for steph to be f5'd, but twas to no avail, as i just stayed bored for awhile. taker DID end the show with the upper hand, so according to the wrestling rulebook, he should very definately do the job this sunday. the paul heyman after-show stuff was great. "..ow........ow........ow........i......hate....canada." ahaha oh man. good show, all in all, well worth the $50 i paid for it. the crowd was very lively, and unlike raw in may, they were given things to be excited about. nothing actively sucked, but there were a few boring spots. raw will be back in toronto in february 2003, the night after no way out of montreal.. but i am very doubtfully going to see it. this will be the first wwe televised event in either the 'dome or the acc that i will miss. oh well, it's just raw, how good can it be? Guest bob_barron Report post Posted October 16, 2002 They booed Albert for the promo but it seems like they were dead for the match- my section was. I'll prob go to RAW in Feb just to see BookDust and Regal. Paul was just too funny and made everyone go home happy. And I was telling Noble: JUST FUCKING PUNCH HER!! Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted October 16, 2002 I think we were all wishing for Steph to be F5'd. Matt Hardy has the greatest titan tron ever. I was disappointed in the reaction he got - Canadians generally like goofy gimmicks (Roadkill, Hurricane). Maybe it's because Matt didn't have a 'day job'. Guest cynicalprofit Report post Posted October 16, 2002 Benoit/Angle beat Los Guerreros Rey and Edge came out pre-match and beat up both teams. Match was really good but too short. Crowd loved Angle. Ending was: Ref got bumped and Benoit got a chair. He teased laying out Angle but laid out the Guerreros instead. Angle Olympic Slammed Eddy for the win. Take Angle, sub in Dean Malenko, and it sounds like what should have been a WCW main event. Do I smell a heel turn by Angle? Yeah Benoit helped him and Angle will say something like Im an olympic gold medalist, i dont need your stinking help. And didnt Benoit win the series they had last time around? Either way, someone maybe getting a win back, and we get good matches.

Guest Lord of The Curry Report post Posted October 16, 2002 Kane- Matt's new TitanTron shows a webpage of WWE.com with the seach page. Then, under search, somebody types "Matt Hardy, Verision 1" and a blue status bar shows up "loading" the page. Killer stuff.
