It's really not that big a Deal, but why did Edge & Rey run in at the end of the Benoit/Angle, Guerrero's Match? How many Spears was there?

edge speared .. angle, i think. but that was the only spear. i still don't understand how edge/rey, who had already wrestled and suffered a beatdown at the hands of the guerreros, could take out *four* fresh guys with no problem at all. but, that's the wwe for ya. oh, and they ran in at the beginning, because i guess they wanted a bit of revenge for the guerreros attacking them after their match earlier in the night. PLUS, they are fighting the winners of the guerreros/angle&benoit match at no mercy, so they just wanted a little pre-match beating.

 

Angle turned face?

angle didn't turn face, he was just incredibly over as a face, and the crowd treated him like one.. plus, benoit was in canada, so he was the de facto face anyway. they DID do the "face in peril" bit with benoit playing the poor beaten down good guy.

 

Why did noble and nidia have a match?

noble and nidia's match stemmed from last week when they had the argument about what rey had said to nidia. then nidia got them kicked out and yadda yadda, and that's where the match came from. tajiri was the ref, but didn't really do much. i was just begging for noble to start whooping nidia, or at least for tajiri to start kicking some face.

 

Hey, it is me, or was Booker T one of the most over guys on the show... AND HE ISN'T EVEN ON THE SHOW!

booker was DEFINATELY majorly over in toronto.. and he was only shown in the clips for matches at no mercy! jericho and christian, of course, got a good reaction as well. i didn't hear much for hhh, but kane got a huge pop.

 

They booed Albert for the promo but it seems like they were dead for the match- my section was.

albert's heat pre-match was very loud and hateful, but yes, the heat for the actual match was very little, except for the usual "SHAVE YOUR BACK!" chants. then again, there was really nothing to get excited about. it was nothing but a 5 minute squash, with bobby rude getting in maybe two dropkicks and a few punches the WHOLE MATCH.

I'm glad I stayed as well especially when Heyman all New Yorkers are not assholes.

Watch closely. They SLAP THEIR CHESTS when they punch. Think about it, do you ever hear a slapping noise when Tyson knocks some fucker out? Personally, I think their punches are retarded, but it seems to work on the crowd so whatever.

 

 

Also, this was hilarious during the Matt v.1 match:

 

As Matt and Dawn were positioned for the Double Stinkface, Rikishi backed in and Matt shoved Dawn's head in front of his. You have to watch this part.

 

Heyman sold that Chokeslam for what seemed like forever. He just layed there motionless as Taker walked up the ramp, then Taker looked back and started punching him with the cast again. Paul then layed in the ring for another 5 minutes. Not even when the announcer said, "Ladies and Gentlemen, please give a big hand to Paul Heyman!" he didn't leave. You can tell the refs were just trying to get him the fuck out of the ring so they can all go home, but the guy barely moved. Finally Brian Hebnar held a mic to him and Paul kept going... "Ow... (WHAT?) Ow... (WHAT?) Ow... (What?)" times 10.

 

Two thrids alf the arena had already left before Paul crawled up the ramp and through the curtain. Tazz and Cole looked like they were having a good laugh.

I was watching closely as well and I realized I was wrong. He doesn't slap his chest when he punches. HE SLAPS HIS THIGH!! Oh my fucking god, I don't know which move is more devestating, Palumbo's "knife-edge" punch or Test's Big Boot. He ABSOLUTELY makes contact with his left thigh through every single punch, that I'm 100% certain and was clearly evident in last night's match.

 

To think that people, especially people who presumably know the ins and outs of pro wrestling, believe a stiff fist to an opponent's hard skull will make a smacking sound is mind-boggling. Please, I'm begging for someone else who notices all this to speak up.
