Guest Flyboy Report post Posted October 16, 2002 I've been using the Raven's playbook since about Madden 2001, and I'm getting tired of it. Could someone suggest a playbook that has a VERY good running game (I to run the ball -- so sweeps and counters would help), but also a good mix of pass plays. (I don't want 'Balanced' either. ) I'm taking suggestions from anyone and what works for them. Why didn't I just start to test every playbook? Well, because I'm lazy and that would take.. a while. Thanks for any help.

Guest phoenixrising Report post Posted October 16, 2002 The Rams playbook is pretty good, has good running plays and of course passing plays. Also the Raiders playbook is pretty good, it's like the West Coast playbook but with more running plays.
Guest DrTom Report post Posted October 16, 2002 The Raiders' playbook is a good one. The Bucs' is better this year since Gruden has gone to Tampa. The Saints' playbook is pretty good, too, since they have good skill position players all over their offense and like to take advantage of them.
Guest ant_7000 Report post Posted October 16, 2002 I use the Eagles since I play with them they have good running plays but not real good passing plays thou and I have used Vermeil's playbook sometimes. What's the best defense to use because depending on what teams I play against im starting to switch it up.
Guest redbaron51 Report post Posted October 16, 2002 San Fran has some good run plays, at times, but if you can pass the ball well, then you can open up the running game. And if you want complete running game, i suggest the Seahawks
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted October 16, 2002 Thanks for all the suggestions, guys.. I'll test each playbook out in Pratice mode. Saints, you say, Tom? That's the team I play with ALL the fucking time.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted October 17, 2002 Browns are team i'm doing franchise with currently and i like the Butch Davis playbook. It has a good mix of running, short passing and long passing.
Guest redbaron51 Report post Posted October 18, 2002 Browns are team i'm doing franchise with currently and i like the Butch Davis playbook. It has a good mix of running, short passing and long passing. the only problem with the browns and a few other teams like Giants, Cardinals Chiefs is that i can run like a draw or a lead , but its very hard to run a sweep, pitch, toss, and counter at times, because the o-line doesn't hold up well, for me.
