Guest Youth N Asia Posted October 17, 2002 Report Posted October 17, 2002 Alright...we're gonna make a big ass tourney of movies and find out what's the best. I will stay in charge and make sure the list and the polls get made. I'll make updates and whatnot. Each of us can nominate 3 movies to start...and if someone wants to debate a movie if it's good or not we can decided if it stays or goes. Whether no one else has heard of it or if the movie just sucks. I'm thinking we can get the list to 128...if it drops too short or overshoots too much we'll figure out something. After you picked your three and if the topic goes a little stale or it looks like we won't make quota we can add to it. Please Bold your picks I'll start Cool Hand Luke Mallrats Dawn of the Dead

Guest godthedog Posted October 18, 2002 Report Posted October 18, 2002 all right, since NOBODY here is representing the foreign movies, i'm changing my votes just to give some kind of vague impression that this might somehow resemble a level playing field: 'the bicycle thief' 'ran' 'the 400 blows' and i'm going to keep fighting for the foreign movies, dammit. even if nobody else watches them. by the way, it's not too hard to predict that 'the godfather' will end up winning this. not that that's a bad thing.

Spaceballs Ferris Beuller's Day Off Sixteen Candles The Naked Gun Schindler's List Death Race 2000 Night of the Living Dead Happy Gilmore Army of Darkness High Fidelity Spiderman A Clockwork Orange The list is 71 strong right now. I added: Death Race 2000 Night of the Living Dead Happy Gilmore Army of Darkness High Fidelity Spiderman A Clockwork Orange And unless someone else comes forth and says how much the forgien films kick ass I think they should be in debate...if no one's ever heard of them then it's for the best. Cause if no one knows them then something a little more well known should be on the list. Unless someone else has a better idea. ONLY 57 spots left to fill!
