Guest BifEverchad Report post Posted October 17, 2002 I just caught my first glimpse of the MUCH anticipated new Nirvana video "You Know You're Right" on Muchmusic. 'You Know You're Right' is the last recording singer Kurt Cobain made with drummer Dave Grohl and bassist Krist Novoselic before his suicide in 1994. The video is comprised of classic Nirvana performances, including their show at the 1991 Reading Festival. The clip ends with footage of Cobain destroying his guitar, as became traditional during their gigs. The song will feature on 'Nirvana' a compilation of their biggest hits, released on October 28. The long-awaited comprehensive Box Set from Nirvana will follow in 2004, with a rarities album also in the pipeline. Has anyone else seen the video yet, if so, What do you think? Do you care? Whatever.. Bif

Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted October 22, 2002 If Nirvana was still around making music and that song was on a cd it would not have been released as a single...it's probably average for Nirvana standard and they'e just milking all they can out of the guy
Guest Last Warrior Report post Posted October 23, 2002 You cant really blame the record companies for doing this. Also I would be angry if they were releasig an obviously sub-standard song just to cash in but i think this song is pretty good. It is also interesting to listen to the lyrics and gives an intersting insight into kurts mindset at the time he wrote it. There was a really good review of it on 411mania.com/music by a bloke called Adam.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted October 23, 2002 It's still Nirvana, and it's still better than AT LEAST 75-80% of the shit out there today...
Guest Dmann2000 Report post Posted October 24, 2002 I've been listening to that song the past day, that and the one song someone here mentioned, "verse chorus verse", (thanks Kazaa). Both are really cool. It's so nice to hear music from MY era. It's 1993 and I'm 14 all over again

Guest whatitistoburn Report post Posted October 25, 2002 I hated Nirvana back in the day, and still think they're one of the most overrated bands of all time. That said... YKYR is the shit.
Guest mesepher Report post Posted October 25, 2002 It's still Nirvana, and it's still better than AT LEAST 75-80% of the shit out there today... if you take away the decent song writing of Kobain... Nirvana was/ is pretty crappy though.
