What is the status of the deal that Cartoon Network had with GI Joe over the summer? I read how the show had to earn consistently good ratings in order to be added to the Network on a regular basis. If I am mistaken then please correct.

 

Is the show going to be added to Cartoon Network anytime soon or did the series get the axe after its summer run?

I believe it got the axe. They haven't announced anything about it coming back.

 

Has anybody seen those new animated GI Joe toy commercials? I'm like damn those commercials look good. Why don't they make THAT show instead of this bull fucking shit tree hugging Armada crap.

The commercials were pretty good from a visual standpoint. It would be interesting to see a network turn those commercials into a new GI Joe series.

 

The B.A.T.S. in the commercials look much more imposing then the ones in the old cartoon series.

Considering we've got new He-Man, Transformers, and TMNT on the way, I don't think a new GI Joe is out of the question. It could always tie in with the new comic that Image is doing.

And let me just say this about Armada. I took the advice to give it a while before saying it sucked. But dammit, I'm saying it now. It SUCKS. After that episode all about how "trees are good" how could anybody argue? It was starting to get better because Starscream was actually starting to act like Starscream and then they did THAT. That whole episode was just comical. Optimus starts talking about trees....cue the string section. Give me a break. Not to mention the fact that there has been like 6 or 7 eps and NOTHING has happened yet. And is there EVER going to be more than 3 autobots? There's like 4 or 5 Decepticons but they can't beat the three shitty autobots? This is so lame.

I haven't seen Armada, but it sounds like crap. As for the new Masters of the Universe show, it rocks! Great animation, and all the characters are there, and they haven't been changed at all. I'm glad to see my 2 favourite characters (Stratos and Tri-Klops) have been featured.

 

The new toys rock as well. I finally found a Mer Man figure.

If I remember correctly, even on the old show Stratos had a sophisticated english accent, so I guess they wanted him to be the same.

 

As for an Evil-Lyn figure, I hear she is on tap in the next set of figures being released. Ram-Man from series 2 is already out, as is Jungle Battle He-Man. Trap-Jaw looks amazing, and so does Tri-Klops, although I heard he may be delayed until series 3. I hope not!
