Guest hardyz1 Report post Posted March 2, 2002 I don't know how many of you watched the Grammys, but there was a record company prick on there complaining about file sharing, calling it an "insidious virus" and that it keeps artists from getting paid. Here is the transcript of his BS. Things like this really piss me off. Do they think we don't know that they are the ones screwing the artists out of money, not us "insidious" file sharers? I will not be happy until the major labels go down in a blaze of shame and humility.

Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted March 2, 2002 i heard about it but i didn't watch the show. F*** the capitalist pigs. We're not ripping off the artists, we're just saving monry on halfass products. The artists rip us off everytime you shell out $15 for a cd with two decent songs and a bunch of crap. Support file sharing and support technology that allows people to experience art and music for free.
Guest Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye Report post Posted March 2, 2002 back in '97 i believe Lar$ Ulrich(metalli-money) said in an interview that metallica had sold 80 million records and he personally was making 20 million dollars a year. Yeah, us file sharing virus demons are driving major recording artists to the poorhouse.

I will not be happy until the major labels go down in a blaze of shame and humility. It's standard practice for the record industry to ignore their evil deeds and to focus on what they perceive as the "evil" being committed against them. They can do no wrong but we the actual customer can, since we don't know what's "good" for us. And in the eyes of the Record Industry, what's good for us are a never ending stream of talentless blonde cunts, nonoffensive eunuchs, and rap-metal garbage....
