Guest Powerplay Report post Posted October 18, 2002 Show is up! Better comments to be edited in further. (Y) at Ejiro winning, (N) at Logan losing. Sad fact of the match, but that's how it goes. Wildchild wins! MARK MARK MARK. Fury wins..... in first person! Wow, interesting style, and damn does he do it well. *Judge hides his title belt* Jack.... wins? Huh? Spike, you no-showed, didn't you... MVS wins with a good match, but I don't think Kaze showed. Sad sad sad..... Probalby my best flowing effort to date. No special gimmick spots, just good ole wraslin'. Whoever got within two points of me, please PLEASE post your match. I really want to read it.

Guest DiabloIIFreak1010 Report post Posted October 18, 2002 Well, IL didn't write (Or so I think...), so I was the one that beat you by two points. Heh, this kind of pisses me off. I lost to a SJL Legend, Silent by two mere points, too, and I just lost to the world champ by two points. I blame Edwin and his glass ceiling.
Guest Goodear Report post Posted October 18, 2002 Commentary RULES~! I won~! Whoo! But Ejiro had to take a beating to do it. And then another beating because it felt like it would be what Logan would do. I bet Fasaki needs a bandaid like Brock Lesnar now. Not to toot my own horn, but I loved the "We don't have to fight or... CLANG~!" bit. Wildchild brings INTENSITY!!! I think its good that he's cut down on the clownboy references, and WC's starting to get that mix of description and the actual wrestling down. Fury v Dangerous. If I ever face this guy, I'm writing my match in first person too, from Fury's perspective... just so I can be all "Oww... Oww.... I.... HATE.... CANADA." Jack brings a damn fine match IMO, the gramar is a little off in places, but the difference between this match and the matches that Jack was pumping out when I first showed up is astronomical improvement. MVS WINS!!! I liked the neck psychology (shades of Smackdown's Benoit match... even though you wrote this before seeing Smackdown... its all ERIE~!) Go submission wrestling... I think Kaze needs to get a more defined set up to the headbutt, but thats me. Judge wins. Can no one stop this man?!?! OH THE HUMANITY~!!! General Triple Threat issues though for me, with the finisher flurry that sort of doesn't work for me. But I think thats ingraned in all 3 ways.
Guest Suicide King Report post Posted October 18, 2002 IL did write Matt, but yours was the match that was two points behind Mental's. Don't worry though... this next card will give you another chance.
Guest Christian_Fury Report post Posted October 18, 2002 Well, I have to say t'was a fine, fine show! I missed this place. Goodly-written matches... I'm a bit scared of Logan, frankly. The man / beast / whatever is particularly vicious. Worries me a wee bit. Same with Wildchild. Yes, I revamped my whole writing style for my return, and it looks to be effective. I kinda 'borrowed' it from Eddie Mac... I believe he used to write similarly-styled matches. A serial killer being a threat... Wow, now there's an oxymoron for yas. *Fury rolls his eyes* Nice win by MVS, and equally stellar win by Mister Mental... Matt, I know how it is to get squeaked out by so little. But beautiful effort nevertheless. Edit: Oh... I'm not sure why it didn't come out like this, but the non-first-person stuff in my match was supposed to be in italics, to make it easier on the eyes. I sent it off like that, but it probably got lost in the translation. Anyway, time to get cracking on this next one! It'll be brutal.
Guest Insanityman Report post Posted October 18, 2002 Hm. What I've read it's a cool show, and I barely wrote. It started out great then kinda spiraled into absolute suckiness due to time restraints and a test.
Guest dr-smogz Report post Posted October 18, 2002 Sorry my match was so short. I just read over it again and noticed that it was a little one sided... sorry Spike. My mind was fryed at 2:00 am. I couldn't read over any of it.
Guest Mr. Slim Citrus Report post Posted October 18, 2002 - I was just about to comment on that, Christian. I was thinking that maybe you could consider using some kind of separator, like *** when you change perspective, as you lost me a couple of times. Otherwise, I thought your match was superb. - Ejiro, I loved your opening promo, and the way you were "forced" to fight; that ruled it for me. - I guess I wasn't paying attention when the scoring system was explained, because I don't really understand the "two points" deal. Other than that, I really enjoyed Mental's match; I thought it was entertaining, particularly considering that I don't really care for Triple Threat matches. [whining mini-rant mode] - I was really disappointed with my work. In fact, the only thing that really bothers me about winning because of no-shows is the quality of matches that I've won with. I was very disappointed with what I put forward against Blank and Manson. I was much happier with what I wrote against Jack and Johnny, and personally thought that those two matches were much better than either of the matches I won. I find it ironic in a very humorless way that the two worst matches that I've written since joining this fed also happen to be, by virtue of no-shows, the only two wins that I have. But, I'm mostly concerned by the fact that I may have painted myself into a corner with this... uh... sadism. My plan had always been to gradually shift Wildchild towards that mental state, but now I've gone and shot my wad. This pretty much kills the promo ideas that I had wanted to try out, too, since they don't really work with the "sadism" Wildchild, only the "grinning, slightly-naive babyface" Wildchild. As it is, without any backstory for his personality change, the promo that I started to write after the match ended up looking too much like a current WWE storyline, so I trashed that. ... So, now I have to figure out how to make Wildchild less crazy... at least, for the time being... [/whining mini-rant mode]
Guest Goodear Report post Posted October 19, 2002 I don't think you'lll have much trouble WC, you just have your character display a bit more of a temper when blodied or something. It doesn't make him Captain Crazyguy, it just gives WC a bit more an edge. He can still be naive when he's in just normal, happy mode. But if he has some trigger, he goes a little meaner and meaner. It doesn't have to be the most important part of his character, just a part.
