An idea for the World Heavyweight Championship

Recommended Posts

Guest The Tino Standard

After No Mercy, the I-C belt will be absorbed into the World Heavyweight Championship, which actually means that title will represent like 6 or 7 titles in once.

The Big Gold Belt will represent this "title conglomerate," but keep in mind that the WWE also has in its possession: the IC, Euro, Hardcore and WCW US title belts.

Anybody else think that it would be pretty damn cool for the champ (I'll make a big, bold, shocking prediction and say it will be HHH) to walk out at the beginning of Raw with FIVE belts all at once? I certainly think that would be a serious sign of legitimacy in a champion.

I don't even think you'd have to have the champion carry around all the belts after that. Just one time on Monday night, come out with all that gold.

Nothing says "I'm the man" like holding five championships at once.

Oh yeah I want to see Triple H covered in title belts. Now he's gonna do that. Thanks a lot.

When Bischoff unified them, he pretty much admited that none of them meant anything, and so there's no point to having him walk out with them. All of those belts put together barely have an credibility anyway.

Guest Smell the ratings!!!

If HHH is smart, he'll start carrying around the IC title and dump all that other crap.

On the other hand it's kind of fun to say "Your WCW International Champion...Triple H!"

HHH is the reason why the IC title is going away...and the fake title is aroundhis shoulder.

I don't think he's going to be carrying around the IC title anytime soon.

Maybe he'd collapse under the weight of five belts and tear his quad...

Wishful thinking, I guess.

Eh, the IC Title has been passed around too much this year for me to give a damn about it anymore, so good riddence.

Eeeh, it's been done. By someone MUCH better than HHH will EVER be.

...don't remember if it was Ultimo Dragon or Jyushin "Thunder" Liger.

I think Dan Severn came out with at least 4 during the NWA storyline, with Aztec Jeff Jarrett.

Alas, Severn's greatest contribution to the WWF was stretching D'Lo and leading to him wearing the chest protector for a long time.

All HHH has to do is win the Hardcore Title, the Cruiserweight Title, and just for the hell of it, the Women's Title so he can say he's won all the WWE Titles.

If HHH wins the match at No Mercy, then theoretically, he will have won the Hardcore belt too... That was one of the myriad belts that was absorbed into the IC.
