Questions on a couple of WWF DVDs

Recommended Posts

Guest DVD Spree

I'm thinking about picking up a couple of the Fed's older DVDs:

Austin VS McMahon

Eve of Destruction

TLC

Funniest Moments

Hardyz - Leap of Faith

Foley - Hard Knocks

Couple of questions I wonder if anyone can answer.

* Does the TLC disc contain complete matches - and if so, which ones - or is it just a WWF doc loaded with clips? And are there complete matches on the Hardyz disc? If the TLC matches are on it, I could get this instead of TLC.

* I'm guessing Eve of Destruction is teh UPN special that aired around new years... that I missed. What's on it?

* Fuck matches, but from a recapping the storyline perspective, what's Austin VS McMahon like? Are the other Austin DVDs any better for recapping?

* What the hell's on Funniest Moments? The Nation skit has gotta be on there, but if they clipped out the Owen bit (Jason Sensation?), that's just TOO GAY.

THanks guys.

I don't know much about the TLC one...all I know is that it has no extras

Hard Knocks is *****, if nothing else then for the stuff with Edge, Christian, and Angle...plus where else are you going to find Mankind vs Shawn from Mindgames, the VHS of that is ultra ultra rare.

That's all I have for ya

Thanks guys.

Cool - consider Hard Knocks in the bag just for the Mind Games match. So save your fingerprints guys - no need for anyone else to tell me how great it is.

Anyone know about the others? If the TLC disc is extras-devoid, I'm guessing there airen't any complete matches, but I'm sure I've read that Leap of Faith has a few. Besides, I'm guessing with all the hotshotting they're doing lately (TWO cell matches in the same quarter?), TLC 4 and 5 can't be far off, then I guess they'll reissue the DVD with the new ones.

Thanks again.

I think the Leap of Faith DVD has the 1st solo pushes of the Hardy Boys with Jeff as Hardcore champ and Matt as Euro champ.

It has 6 extra matches

just guessing

There are no "TLC" matches on the TLC DVD.

Instead, there is a main program that goes through the feud of the Hardys, Dudleys and E&C, with extras that consist of:

--Ladder Match: Hardys vs. Edge & Christian (No Mercy '99)

--Table Match: Hardys vs. Dudley Boys (Royal Rumble 2000)

--Tables and Ladders Match: Hardys vs. Dudleys vs Edge and Christian (Wrestlemania 2000)

Neither of the "TLC" matches are included in this DVD, at least.

Surely some lawyer somewhere can sue WWE over this misleading advertising or something...

That does sound shifty. Maybe WWE wanted to get the first TLC-ish matches one on DVD, then will release the offical TLC matches later on another DVD. Just a guess.

If I remember correctly it was released before Summerslam 2000, in order to promote TLC 1.

TLC is part of the Attitude Collection DVD series (Three Faces of Foley and Austin vs. McMahon are also a part of it). They're just old WWF videos from '98-2000 released on DVD with just the Video Program, no bonuses.

Three Faces of Foley would have been an incredible DVD if they had release it with the complete matches instead of olny showing them in highlight form.

Hard Knocks is definately the best singles DVD, besides Hogan, the WWE has ever produced simply for the fact that some of hte matches on it are impossible to find (Mind Games, Austin/Mankind from Raw) let alone in DVD Quality. I got Hard Knocks for 13 bucks and it's worth it.

Hard Knocks Cheap Pops is my favorite WWE DVD as well, and the fact that I was able to get it for 9 bucks made it even better.

The Foley Commentary on the Kennel From Hell match is awesome too.
