Guest RenegadeX28 Report post Posted October 21, 2002 Well, I just finally decided to see what this tape trading thing is all about. How does it work?
Guest franchise632 Report post Posted October 21, 2002 Its pretty simple, two people exchange website links or tape lists, discuss there needs and wants and then try and work out a trade, some do it hour for hour, some go event for event. Usually as a basic rule the person who makes first contact sends there tapes first, once the other individual recieves the tapes, then sounds out the other. Once a relationship has been built further trades can be done with each person sending at the same time. Thats pretty much the basics. Its helpful to have fairly good VCRs to do your recording and not using cheap tapes to make your dubs. Some traders have different or additional rules as well. Guest Last Warrior Report post Posted October 22, 2002 That is pretty much it. Each trader will usually have their own trading rules. There are three main things you should do to be a good trader. 1) Set up a website with all your tapes and make it easy to read. 2)be honest about the quality of your tapes 3)Sendthe tapes when you say you will. you can do no more than that. Guest dc_tapes Report post Posted October 23, 2002 If you don't feel like making a website, you could do like alot of people and just put your tape list in a document like WordPad, Microsoft Word, etc. that would be easy to send to people.
