Guest razazteca Report post Posted October 22, 2002 has anybody heard this song or seen the video of it yet? If you thought that the Macarena was the greatest thing on earth or if you enjoyed Who Let the Dogs Out then you will get hympotized by this gem of a cover song. This pop song has a simple dance that even Caroline Reah could do and it features a hook from one of the greatest rap songs ever. The song is only one line repeated over and over again "Hip Hop Hippy Hop to the Hippy Hip to Be" in ESPANOL sung by some extremely hot eye candy. I wonder if the Suger Hill Gang is getting paid for this?
Guest Renegade Report post Posted October 22, 2002 aserejè ja de jè de jebe tu de jebere seibiunouva, majavi an de bugui an de buididipi The song bugs the hell out of me, i guess the original is ok-ish as a pop song, but in the english version it just sounds like three drag queens are singing. Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted October 22, 2002 Drag queens? Singing? Ketchup? Excellent... I've heard of this song but never heard it yet.

Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted October 22, 2002 This really isn't all that good. I've downloaded it and I'm listening to it now. Not really that catchy either. I actually heard about this song on the Sophie Ellis-Bextor boards a couple of weeks ago... What, you don't post on the Sophie and Kylie boards also? (notices the room is empty) Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Report post Posted October 22, 2002 "I wonder if the Suger Hill Gang is getting paid for this?" Don't be dissing the SHG -- "Rapper's Delight" is my favorite song of all time in any music category...
Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted October 22, 2002 He isn't dissing it, he has a point, they do use the hibby-hip-hop style lyrics in the chorus. Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge
Guest Lethargic Report post Posted October 22, 2002 I saw the commercial for it last night. I thought it was a joke, a parody of those commercials that are always on Univision. It turned out it was real. I was shocked. Still am.
Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted October 22, 2002 Univision rules. They still show Bienvenidos? That show was SO DAMN FUNNY. I know they still do Super Sabado Gigante Internacional~!, because it's what they show ALL DAY on Saturdays. Fo sheez, Kotzenjunge

Guest razazteca Report post Posted October 22, 2002 If Las Ketchup does a live performance on Caliente then I will be happy. Suger Hill Gang should get paid because the Ketchup song uses the hook chorus of the Hip Hop Delight. I think a member of SHG also wrote the song so he should get paid for that.
